Tomorrow's message at Rolling Fork Baptist Church centers around the questions "What is a godly man?" and "What is a godly woman?". I am preaching this topic because it is the next section of scripture in 1 Timothy (2:8-15). Some of the ladies may think that this message will go easy on the guys since they only have one verse but both men and women will have their own challenges tomorrow.

If we want our churches to be what God wants them to be, then we have to be the men and women that we are supposed to be. And if we want our homes to be blessed by God, then we have to be the men and women that we are supposed to be.

If we answer the questions "What is a godly man?" and "What is a godly woman?" right, then our marriages will be stronger, our homelife will have a stronger foundation and our churches will so much more effective in glorifying God. Will you join us at 9:30am?

One of the songs that we are singing tomorrow has these words
"Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above."

How easy is it for you and me to allow this world to distract us and tempt us to sin against God? One way to protect ourselves from some of that temptation is pursue a good understanding of who God is and what He has done for us through Jesus Christ.
