Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2 at 5pm while the Boston Women's Heritage Trail reveals their names and honors the lives of the 133 Black women who were buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in two communal graves with the marker "Home for Aged Colored Women," There will also be the unveiling of a temporary memorial by artist Ekua Holmes.

Cedar Grove Cemetery is hiring for a new position! We are looking for the perfect person to bolster our team of long-term members. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a staff of 10 by example and experience. Benefits include the potential of health insurance, 401K, and paid vacation.

Candidates must have:
- previous experience in ground maintenance, landscaping, and facilities
- a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- a valid Massachusetts driver's license and preferably a hoisting license
- the ability and willingness to work Saturdays and evenings as needed
- computer experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- the ability to assist clients during a difficult time as they select a grave and learn about our services
- other tasks and responsibilities as needed

Cedar Grove Cemetery is hiring a student employee for a full time, 40 hour per week, position until the Fall. Applicants need the ability to use a w**d wacker and hedge clipper, and must have a valid driver's license. Interested students can apply in person at the Cemetery office.
