Congratulations to BU Catholic Center alumnus Joseph Ferme on his ordination to the Diocesan priesthood yesterday! It was through his time at the BUCC and, in particular, on a retreat during his senior year that Joe encountered the Lord and ultimately discovered his call to the priesthood. Please pray for him and for all of those that will come to know God through him.

We are deeply saddened to share of the passing of BUCC alumnus, Omar Brown, on Wednesday January 5th, 2022.
Omar attended B.U. from 2013 to 2016 while earning his Master’s degree in Theological studies. Omar came to the CC often and would frequently spend time at daily Mass and in prayer in the 4th floor chapel. He had many friends and is remembered most for his ability to share meaningful insights about the spiritual life and to bring joy and laughter to everyone he saw. His Christ-like example inspired many during his time at BU as he truly embodied what it means to preach the Gospel at all times.
We share in the grief of Omar’s passing and want to send our heartfelt condolences to his wife Jessica and each of his family members and friends during this difficult time. Please feel free to add notes of condolence to this post or as a direct message to the BUCC Alumni Association Page. These notes will be shared with Jessica and Omar’s family.
