The Vilna Shul, located on historic Beacon Hill, is the last-remaining immigrant era synagogue building in Boston and now serves as a center for Jewish culture and communal engagement. We offer opportunities to connect and explore one's culture, experience the arts and engage in big Jewish ideas.

Also, have you ever decorated a sukkah? Introducing a series of art workshops. Led by local artists. Centered on Jewish holidays. The first workshop on Thursday 9/26/24 will be led by artist Caron Tabb, focusing on learning the art of sewing which binds our stories together in more ways than one. Tabb has designed the decorative walls of our sukkah and is inviting 20s & 30s to help stitch it together. No prior experience necessary. Learn a new craft, connect to the holiday of Sukkot from a new perspective, and meet other young professionals in the city. Tabb’s sukkah decoration will be part of a public art exhibition called In the Aftermath, part of our fall series which uses art, storytelling and music to help honor the anniversary of the October 7 attacks. This program includes an artist-led workshop on the art of sewing, a discussion about the artistic matter itself, and time to mingle and nosh.

With national attention trained on Harvard the past few months, engaging in Jewish spaces on campus has felt like more of a political endeavor. Pickle-making, gimmicky in all the right ways, was enough to get us out the door.
