We are thrilled to officially install Reynolds Moore and Dustin Hadley as the newest Elders at Covenant Church! Both of these men have been faithfully preparing for this role for two years and clearly display the character, competency, and calling to shepherd our church family.

Reynolds and his wife, Chyrissee, are long-time leaders who currently co-lead our Turtle Creek and Young Adult Missional Communities. Dustin and his wife, Lacie, have been part of the Covenant family for 9 years and are actively involved in the Haughton Missional Community.

Please join us in encouraging these men and their beautiful families as they step into this new season of service and leadership!

Registration is open for Campout 26

We are excited about our fourth annual winter retreat. We leave the church Friday, December 4th and spend the weekend at Southland Christian Camp in Ringgold, LA.

We will be back Sunday morning (Dec 6th) and our students will attend the 11 am service. This is an incredible weekend of 3 sessions, each filled with worship music and a message.

And the time between sessions offers a lot of fun activities for our students. They can play human foosball, kayak or canoe, zipline at night, roast marshmallows at a bonfire, play archery tag, basketball, or mini-golf! This is one of our students' favorite events of the year.

It's so easy to give Jesus the "living room" of our lives—the tidy, presentable spaces we want others to see. But when we invite Christ to dwell in our hearts, He doesn't just want a visit. He wants the kitchen, the garage, and the back bedroom where we hide all the mess. True peace and power only come when we give Him access to every single room. What "room" in your life do you need to invite Jesus into today?

Too many of us treat prayer like a customer service line where we hope to be routed to the right department. But God isn't your boss, and you aren't His employee—you are His adopted child! You carry His name. That means we have the beautiful privilege to come to Him with both reverence and running. We kneel because He is majestic, and we come boldly because He is our Father. How does knowing God as your Father change the way you pray? Let us know below!

Do you find yourself bringing God your plans and just asking Him to fit into them? We often pray small because deep down we suspect the supply is limited. But Ephesians 3 reminds us that we serve a God who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think!

Next Saturday is Halloween, which means your neighborhood is about to be filled with families walking right past your front door! It is the absolute ultimate Blocktober opportunity. So for today’s challenge, we aren't just serving—we are prepping.

The Challenge: The Driveway Hospitality Plan

Instead of hiding inside and waiting for the doorbell to ring next weekend, plan to take the party to the driveway! Today, get your game plan ready to create the most welcoming house on the block.

Here is your prep list for this week:

Treats for the Kids: Pick up the candy (and hide it from your own family so it actually makes it to the 31st!).

Treats for the Parents: Parents are going to be exhausted hauling kids in costumes around the neighborhood. Plan to stock a cooler with cold waters and sodas—maybe throw a few of your favorite energy drinks in for yourself and the other tired moms and dads!

The Signage: Make a quick, fun "Parents: Grab a cold drink!" sign to print and tape to the cooler.

The Setup: Plan to pull a fire pit to the end of the driveway, drag the soccer chairs out, and play some fun music.

The Intentionality: When you are hanging out at the end of the driveway rather than behind a closed front door, your house becomes a natural gathering spot. It completely changes the dynamic from a five-second candy grab to a five-minute conversation with the neighbors you’ve been wanting to connect with all month!

Looking at these pictures from our Blocktober Ice Cream Social, I am just overwhelmed with gratitude for the Tiburon Missional Community! As an individual family, we could have never pulled off an event of this scale. But because our MC completely owned this vision and rolled up their sleeves—helping with ice cream, managing the bounce houses, inviting people to try Rise Up and Roast coffee, and intentionally welcoming every person who walked up—we turned a simple cul-de-sac gathering into something truly special.

The conversations and connections made were a beautiful, glaring reminder of how desperate people are for genuine community. Neighbors we’ve only ever exchanged quick waves with from the car were suddenly lingering, laughing, and sharing life together under the streetlights. Because we leaned on our people to share the load, we were able to provide an incredibly fun night of connection for our neighborhood while raising real, tangible support for The Hub. Connecting with your neighbors doesn’t require a massive budget or weeks of planning—it just takes an open door and a hospitable heart.

Need a fun, low-stress idea? Host a "Chalk & Popsicles" Front Yard Hangout! Dump out a bucket of sidewalk chalk on the driveway, pull out a couple of lawn chairs, stash a box of ice pops in a cooler, and let the neighborhood kids turn your sidewalk into an art gallery while parents chat.
