DO GOOD // What happens when a group of people say YES to something uncomfortable?

This week, our team traveled to Honduras to drill a well and love on kids. What we didn’t expect was how much God would do in us in the process.

One teammate hadn’t been on a mission trip in 12 years. She sat on the ground with a little girl who reached her hand out during prayer — no words, just tears, just release. Just God.

Angie, a self-described introverted homebody who never thought she’d be brave enough, stepped off a plane and met kids who smile and overflow with joy — even with stray dogs in their classrooms and a rusty playground barely standing.

Brad had to learn how to follow instead of lead. That’s no small thing.

Four teenage boys showed up in the heat, the mud, and the unknown. By the end of the week, Fox led a devotional. Gray led worship. Jack changed the direction of the whole trip with one honest share. THEY are the future.

We heard every excuse not to go.
“I don’t have the time.”
“It costs too much.”
“It’s too far.”
“I’ll miss something.”

But here’s what we know now — the moments that require the greatest surrender are the moments where God reveals Himself most clearly. When you change the setting, the language, the food, the surroundings… there’s a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit that you simply don’t have at home.

God is still working. Still healing. Still changing lives.

Sometimes you just have to step out of the boat —

and do something DIFFERENT.
