Good Sunday morning!

The longer I live, the more convinced I become that one of our greatest needs is not simply to know more about God, but to think more often about just how great He truly is.

Our God has never been surprised. He has never been confused. He has never faced a problem He could not solve, nor has He ever grown weary in caring for His people. His wisdom cannot be measured, His power cannot be challenged, and His love was displayed beyond all question when He gave His only begotten Son to save those He loved before the foundation of the world.

When our burdens seem heavy, it is good to lift our eyes above them and behold our God. The One who created the heavens and the earth is the very One who hears the prayers of His children. The One who rules over all things is still working all things together for their good and for His glory.

If you’re looking for hope this morning, don’t look within yourself. Look unto Christ. In Him we find peace for troubled hearts, strength for weary souls, and joy that this world can neither give nor take away.

We would love to have you worship with us this morning at Borger Primitive Baptist Church as we gather to praise our great God and rejoice in the finished work of our precious Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for those who are sick, those who have lost loved ones, those who are caring for family members, and those who are carrying burdens known only to the Lord. May He comfort them, strengthen them, and remind us all that His mercy never fails.

May the Lord bless you is our prayer.

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…” — Galatians 5:1

Good morning, dear saints.

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1

What a blessing it is to gather once again with God’s people. Every Lord’s Day is a gift from the Lord—a day to worship Him, encourage one another, and be reminded of His goodness and grace.

As we continue our study through Galatians, Paul reminds us in chapter one that there is only one true gospel. We are not saved by our works, our efforts, or by trying to be good enough. We are saved by the grace of God through the finished work of Jesus Christ. He gave Himself for His people and accomplished what we never could.

Because of that, Paul says in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.” Jesus has set His people free—not to live however we please, but to love Him, follow Him, and serve Him with thankful hearts. We don’t serve God because we’re trying to earn His love. We serve Him because He first loved us.

As we come together today, may our hearts be fixed on Christ. May we sing with joy, pray with faith, listen carefully to His Word, and leave with a greater love for our Savior than when we arrived.

Please remember to pray for those who are sick, those who are carrying heavy burdens, and especially those who are grieving the loss of someone they love. There are families among us and around us who are walking through difficult days. May the Lord bless them with His comfort, strengthen them with His presence, and remind them that He will never leave nor forsake His children.

May the Lord richly bless our time together today. I look forward to worshiping with each of you.

"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."
Psalm 55:17

Good Sunday morning, dear friends. I woke up earlier in the week singing a song written by Sister Mary Stewart back in the late 1930’s. One line has stayed with me, and I just can’t shake it:

"Lord, let me praise Thee in the morning, while the day is new; Let me praise Thee at the noontide and the evening too."

What a simple prayer. David said he would seek the Lord in the evening, in the morning, and at noon. Sister Mary simply asked the Lord to help her remember to praise Him all through the day. May that be our prayer today. Whether this day brings joy or burdens, may we never forget to praise the One who has never forgotten us.

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” Psalms 122:1

Good morning, dear saints.

Today our nation observes Father’s Day, and we give thanks for the fathers, grandfathers, and godly men whom the Lord has placed in our lives. Their love, guidance, sacrifice, and example are precious gifts from God.

Yet as we gather for worship today, let us remember that every good father reflects, however imperfectly, the love of our Heavenly Father. While we honor our earthly fathers, our highest praise belongs to the One from whom all blessings flow.

What a joy it is to gather with God’s family—to pray together, sing together, bear one another’s burdens, rejoice in one another’s blessings, and worship our Heavenly Father together. In a world that often feels lonely and divided, the church remains one of God’s sweetest gifts to His children.

David said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” May that same gladness fill our hearts today as we assemble together. The fellowship of the saints is a precious blessing, and every Lord’s Day is a reminder that we belong to a family that shall one day be gathered together forever around the throne of God.

Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers, and may our Heavenly Father be honored and glorified in our worship today.
