As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, we will remember a day when our nation experienced tremendous darkness. We will remember the lives lost, the families who were changed forever, and the fear and uncertainty that followed.

But we will also remember the light. In the midst of that darkness, we saw people run toward danger to help others. We saw courage, compassion, sacrifice, prayer, and communities coming together. We were reminded that even in the darkest moments, light can still shine.

We invite you to join us on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. as we continue to consider how we find hope in the darkness.

Let us pray together:
Gracious and loving God, today we remember September 11 and all those whose lives were forever changed that day.

We remember those who lost their lives, and we hold their families and loved ones in our prayers. We remember the first responders, firefighters, police officers, medical workers, chaplains, and all who ran toward danger to serve and save others.

We remember a nation that was afraid, grieving, and uncertain—and we give thanks for the courage, compassion, and love that shone through the darkness.

Lord, comfort those who still carry grief. Bring healing to those whose wounds remain. Give us courage to stand with one another in times of fear and uncertainty. And remind us that even in the darkest places, your light continues to shine.

May we carry that light into our world—not only today, but every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, we pray. Amen.

Today, we remember the lives that have been lost to su***de, hold space for those who continue to grieve, and remember that every life matters.

We also remember those who are struggling today. If you are feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or unsure where to turn, you do not have to face it alone. Help is available.

Tonight, we will gather at Pearson Memorial UMC (71 Pearson Drive, Hamilton NJ) at 7:00 p.m. for a Service of Hope & Remembrance.

Together, we will:
🕯️ Grieve those we have lost
🕯️ Remember and honor their lives
🕯️ Pray for those who are struggling today
🕯️ Hold onto the hope that we are never alone

Whether you have experienced a loss, are walking alongside someone who is struggling, need a place of hope yourself, or simply want to stand with others—we invite you to join us.

Come as you are. There is room for your grief. There is room for your questions. There is room for hope. You are not alone. You matter. There is hope.

You are not alone. ❤️

Sunday, we talked about the promise that we are never alone because God is with us. This week's video devotional picks up that message from Romans 8 with another powerful promise: “Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:39

Our circumstances may change. We may experience grief, fear, uncertainty, or difficult seasons. But God's love remains. Nothing we face can put us beyond the reach of His love.

I hope you'll take a few minutes to watch this week's devotional and be reminded that you are not alone, and you are deeply loved by God.

❤️ And don't forget: our Service of Hope and Remembrance is THIS THURSDAY at 7:00 p.m. at Pearson Memorial UMC. We'll gather to acknowledge grief, remember lives lost, pray for those who are struggling, and hold onto the hope we have in Christ.

Consider inviting a friend, neighbor, or someone you know who might benefit from a night of hope and encouragement. Sometimes a simple invitation can be exactly what someone needs.

This Sunday, we began our September journey of talking about mental health, wholeness, and what it means to care for ourselves and one another—mind, body, and spirit.

Our first message, “You Are Not Alone,” drew from Psalm 23 and Romans 8:35-39. Part of the human experience is stress, grief, anxiety, disappointment, or times when we simply feel overwhelmed. This week, we began to consider ways we can deal with these moments by reminding ourselves we aren't alone because we have a God who is with us when the grass is green and when the landscape is bleak, too.

Tomorrow we will begin our September journey of talking about mental health, wholeness, and what it means to care for ourselves and one another—mind, body, and spirit.

Our first message, “You Are Not Alone,” will draw from Psalm 23 and Romans 8:35-39. Together, we’ll be reminded that difficult seasons are a part of life. We may experience stress, grief, anxiety, disappointment, or times when we simply feel overwhelmed. These experiences don't necessarily mean that we have a mental illness—they remind us that we are human. And whether mental illness has been part of your story or not, this conversation is for all of us.

We'll consider what it means to care for our whole selves, how our faith speaks to the difficult seasons of life, and how we can become a church where people don't have to pretend that everything is okay. Most importantly, we'll remember the promise of Psalm 23: “You are with me.”

We'll also gather around the Communion table, where we are reminded that we don't come because we have everything figured out. We come because we need God's grace. Whatever season we find ourselves in, Christ meets us there.

In a week when our nation and our world have experienced heartbreaking loss, we gather to remember where our hope comes from.

This Sunday, we’ll explore lessons from a butterfly and reflect on the ways God continues to transform us—even in seasons when we can't see what God is doing.

Together, we'll revisit the four words that have shaped our summer journey:
🦋 PLAY — receive God's joy
🦋 WORSHIP — remember whose we are
🦋 GROW — trust God's transforming work
🦋 SERVE — share God's love with others

After worship, we'll gather for a special Butterfly Honor & Remembrance Release, releasing butterflies both in honor of people we celebrate and in memory of people we carry in our hearts.

🦋 Butterflies are still available! A limited number remain for a suggested donation of $8.

This week we explored Philippians 4:4–9 and John 15:9–12 as we wrapped up our summer sermon series. We talked about how the rhythms we've explored this summer—play, worship, service, and growth—can become part of the way we continue to follow Jesus throughout the year. Because joy isn't something we have to leave behind when summer ends. When we remain in Christ's love, we can carry his joy with us wherever we go.
