Records of Methodist preaching in Bordentown go back to July 26,1770, when Joseph Pilmoor, a missionary sent to America by John Wesley, stopped in Bordentown and preached his first sermon. Known as the First Methodist Episcopal Church in 1821, their first permanent building was erected at 209 Farnsworth Avenue. Three moves occurred, finally bringing the congregation to the present location at 339

Farnsworth Avenue in April of 1867. Eventually, with the new structure, the two Methodist Churches in Bordentown consolidated (First Methodist and Trinity Methodist) and became one in 1906. Our church name was changed to Trinity Methodist Church in 1940. The church family grew, and to meet their needs, they broke ground on Feb 17, 1962, to add the Educational building and Fellowship Hall at the rear of the main building. In all, forty-one pastors have served Trinity United Methodist Church, including the current pastor, Rev. Dr. Richard Romero. We must now dedicate ourselves to continuing the ministry to the community this church has provided for the past 239 years. May the peace of God be with you, always.

✨ In Case You Missed It… ✨

This week, we wrapped up our sermon series looking at our big questions of faith. We reflected on what faith really means— and how we can go from believing in God to trusting and allowing God to guide our steps forward.

If you missed worship, watch this recap video where we will talk about how to release our need for control, how to seek and recognize God’s guidance, how to build a steady faith rooted in Christ and how faith becomes something we live, not just something we believe.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here. Whether you have been part of our church for years or are simply looking for a place to worship and belong, we would love to welcome you! ❤️

Have you ever wished you could see exactly where life is leading before taking the next step?

We all face moments of uncertainty—times when we wonder what comes next, how decisions will unfold, or how we can find peace when we cannot control the outcome.

This Sunday we’ll reflect on what faith really means—not just believing in God, but learning to trust God with our fears, our questions, and our future.

We’ll explore: how to release our need for control, how to seek and recognize God’s guidance, how to build a steady faith rooted in Christ and how faith becomes something we live, not just something we believe.

Join us at 11:00 a.m. and come discover what it means to take the next step of faith, trusting that God is already there.

Have you ever forgiven someone else for a mistake but struggled to forgive yourself?

Many of us believe in God's grace for others while quietly carrying our own regrets, failures, and burdens. This week's Midweek Devotion explores what it means to receive the same grace from God that we so often extend to others. Through the story of Peter's restoration and God's promises of forgiveness, we're reminded that our failures do not define us—God's grace does.

Take a few moments this week to reflect on God's love, mercy, and invitation to move forward in freedom.

This week's Midweek Devotion, "Grace for Yourself," explores what i...

✨ In Case You Missed It… ✨

This week, we explored honest questions about grace. We started by defining what our United Methodist understanding of grace is and why it matters to our faith journey.

We reminded ourselves that God's grace forgives us when we fall short, claims us as beloved children, teaches us to forgive and calls us to live as faithful disciples.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here. Whether you have been part of our church for years or are simply looking for a place to worship and belong, we would love to welcome you! ❤️

"Lord, teach us to pray." — Luke 11:1

Prayer isn't about having the right words. It's about spending time with God.
Take a few minutes this week to join us for a brief devotion on developing a deeper prayer life and discovering simple ways to connect with God each day.

As you watch, I encourage you to consider one small step you can take this week to spend intentional time with God in prayer.

May you be reminded that God is always near and eager to hear from His children

The disciples once asked Jesus, "Lord, teach us to pray" (Luke 11:1). Many of us still ask that same question today. This week's Midweek Devotion explores sim...
