We are not a denomination. We have no head but Jesus Christ. We have no book but the Bible. Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent. Why are you afraid?

Last Sunday, Pastor Evan spoke on anxiety and why having certain people in your circle can either help or hurt you.
Is it Jonah or Jesus in your boat?
There are those who makes the hard times worse & those who make it manageable

Faith isn’t the absence of a storm; it’s the presence of the Savior in it.

It isn’t always about stopping the problem, but having God with you in it.

•Remember the presence of God
•Have a constant relationship with God
•Be intentional with knowing God’s presence

We don’t have to be afraid of the storms up ahead because Jesus is in the boat 🛶 🤍

Our Life After 50 small group (or as we like to say, the LAF group) is a wonderful group of those 50 and older to grow in faith, dig deeper into Sunday’s sermon, and enjoy great food together!

Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to listen to visiting Pastor Jonathan Kelly’s message on being single and how that intertwines in our Christian lives.

•It’s okay to mourn singleness, but it’s not okay to make an idol out of marriage.

•Remember your marriage to Christ.

•Be the best bride that you can be (to the church)

Last Sunday, Pastor Evan spoke on the topic of parenting 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒
Parenting isn’t just about raising functional adults; it’s about raising faith-filled followers of Jesus.

How to raise a faith-filled follower of Jesus:

1. Teach the Faith-
Intentionally teach your children the faith. Adjust the method to each kid.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9

2. Model the Faith-
Children lean more by what is caught rather than taught. We all make mistakes as parents, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be ruthlessly trying to imitate Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:1

3. Release with Faith-
We should equip our kids as best as we can and the knowledge on how to live in this world. At some point, we have to release our children into the world with faith. Discipleship doesn’t hold- it equips then launches. The role of parenting has to change over time.
