This morning we had the privilege of offering Drive-By Ashes at Rockaway Valley UMC, and what a sacred time it was. Cars pulled up, windows rolled down, and for just a moment the busyness of the day paused. Ashes were traced. Prayers were whispered. Grace was received.

We offer Ashes to Go because God meets us right where we are — in our cars, on our way to work, in the middle of full schedules and complicated lives. Ash Wednesday reminds us that we are dust, and to dust we shall return — but it also reminds us that we are deeply loved, marked by grace, and never beyond God’s mercy. The ashes are an outward sign of an inward truth: we belong to God.

If you weren’t able to stop by this morning, we will resume from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm today. You don’t need to be a member. You don’t need to have it all together. Just come as you are.

And we would also love to welcome you tonight at 6:30 pm for our Ash Wednesday worship service — a quieter, reflective time to begin the Lenten journey together.
