We weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone.

It’s easy to have plenty of people around us while still keeping our relationships on the surface. But Jesus calls us to something deeper: friendships where we truly know one another, love one another, and encourage one another to become more like Him.

This Sunday, we’re talking about the kind of relationships that take time, intention, and a willingness to show up for one another.

Following Jesus is more than knowing about Him. It’s staying close enough to Him that the way we live begins to change.

So what does being an intentional follower look like this week?
• Spend time with Jesus not just to learn, but to become more like Him.
• Pay attention to where His direction challenges or inconveniences you.
• Be willing to let Him change your habits, priorities, and decisions.
• Ask yourself: Can people see the influence of Jesus in the way I live?

The goal isn’t simply to say we follow Jesus. It’s to follow Him closely enough that it shows.

We’re surrounded by messages telling us to do more, try harder, and keep pushing. And before we know it, we can approach our relationship with Jesus the same way. But Jesus offers us something different.

Remain. Stay connected. Let Him be the source.

So what does that look like this week?
→ Spend time in the Gospels. Read about the life of Jesus and pay attention to how He lived, loved, and responded to people.
→ Talk to Jesus honestly. Bring Him your questions, doubts, frustrations, and failures through prayer.
→ Pay attention to what is fueling you. Are you looking to Jesus as your source, or are you depending on your own effort, success, approval, or something else?
→ When you get it wrong, come back. Following Jesus isn’t about getting everything right. Get up, return to Him, and try again.

We don’t have to hustle our way into a fruitful life.

Stay connected to Jesus and trust Him to produce the fruit. 🌳
