Looking for a church home can often be a difficult and uncomfortable task. At First Presbyterian, you will find a family of faith dedicated to welcoming all who enter the doors of our building. It is our hope that all who come to worship the Living God will experience the warmth and love of Jesus Christ in our midst. While you will find that we have wonderful programs and educational classes for all ages, various fellowship opportunities, and a heart to serve “the least of these” both locally and globally, it is our hope that you find a second family that embodies Christ’s call to love our neighbor as ourselves. We invite you to join us in worship and participate in all that we do to serve Jesus Christ so that together, we may bear witness to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior here in the High Country and throughout the world! REACH Wednesdays return this Wednesday, September 9th with a kick off dinner and s’mores by the campfire. The following week after dinner, we will begin our cross-generational study of Elijah from 1 Kings 17-21. Together we will see how God leads us, like Elijah, to live securely in an insecure world. •HUNGER and HEALTH COALITION
•SINGING for Shut-Ins
•RAM’S RACK
•STAINING a HANDICAPPED family's RAMP
•TRAVIS’ LUNCHBOX/CASTING BREAD FOOD PANTRY
•BACK 2 SCHOOL FESTIVAL: To volunteer, sign up at www.back2schoolfest.org/volunteer.
•CHILDREN: Children 5 and up are encouraged to serve alongside their parent on an age-appropriate project.
Childcare will be provided for children 4yrs and younger from 9:00 - 11:30am.

Everybody's gotta eat! Help us support Travis's Lunchbox this Sunday, or actually any day! Travis's Lunchbox ongoing food drive was created in honor of Travis Gryder's giving spirit. All food and donations go to help clients of Casting Bread Food Pantry near Blowing Rock. Bring non-perishable food and toiletry donations to the Gathering Space at the church.
