What’s in your heart?

It’s easy to focus on being right, being recognized, or keeping score. But Jesus calls us to something different: a heart that continually pursues Him.

When God’s way is different from ours, can we say, “God, Your way is better”?

And when we’re reminded of His grace, can we simply be grateful that the God of the universe notices us and invites us to know Him?

Let’s pursue Jesus with humble hearts.

Storms have a way of changing what we look at.

When Peter looked at the wind and waves, he sank. But when he cried out to Jesus, he found the One who was already there.

Jesus is present with you in the storm.
Jesus is interceding for you.
And Jesus is worthy of your worship.

The storm may not immediately cease when you turn your eyes to Jesus. But you can find peace because the I AM is with you.

So when the storm comes, don’t look for more faith. Look to the right object of your faith.

Look to Jesus.

“Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” — Matthew 14:27 (ESV)

We’re taking our worship outside at 10am this Sunday, and we’d love for you to join us! Come enjoy the fresh air as we gather together to praise the Lord. Bring your favorite lawn chair, or don’t worry, we’ll have plenty available!

Afterwards we’ll continue our time together in the Fellowship Hall with a catered meal featuring BBQ, mac & cheese, baked beans, slaw, rolls, and dessert.

Kingdom math doesn’t always add up on paper.

Five loaves. Two fish. Thousands of hungry people. And Jesus was more than enough.

Matthew 14 reminds us to stop focusing on the size of the problem and start looking to the One who provides.

Love God. Pray. Seek His wisdom. Obey. Trust Him with the results.

Put it all in His hands.
