Evergreen Pathways creates space to slow down, reflect, and become more aware of God’s presence through spiritual direction, coaching, contemplative retreats, and other opportunities for reflection and renewal. Jeff holds a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary and served for ten years as an associate pastor at Boone United Methodist Church. He has a passion for helping people li

sten more deeply, discern their path, and grow in awareness of God’s presence and activity in their lives. This page was originally created for Selah Boone, a contemplative worship gathering led by Jeff and Carrie McClain. The word Selah, found throughout the Psalms, carries connotations of pausing, resting, reflecting, paying attention, and connecting with God. That same invitation to pause, pay attention, and make space for God continues to be part of the heart behind Evergreen Pathways. You may have noticed a new name around here!

For several years, this page was home to Selah Boone, a contemplative worship gathering created as a space to pause, reflect, pray, and become more aware of God’s presence.

While we are no longer gathering regularly for Selah services, the heart behind Selah continues.

This page is becoming the home of Evergreen Pathways, where Jeff’s work in spiritual direction, coaching, contemplative practices, and retreats continues that invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and pay attention to God’s presence and movement in our lives.

If you’ve been part of Selah over the years, we’re grateful you’re here. We hope you’ll stay connected as this work continues to grow and take new forms.

One of those new opportunities is Grounded Pathways, a contemplative retreat Jeff will lead with spiritual director Cameron Kempson on September 12 at Hart-T-Tree Farms in Grassy Creek.
