Selah Boone

Selah Boone A contemplative worship gathering in Boone, North Carolina. The word Selah appears throughout the Psalms. All are welcome.

It has connotations of rest/pause, reflect/pay attention, pray/praise, and connecting with God. It also has an element of Mystery, because no one knows for sure what it means. Join us on the first and third Fridays at 7pm for a time of prayer, reflection, and communion. We will engage in spiritual practices that help us rest, reflect, and become more aware of God’s presence. We will meet in the sa

nctuary at Boone United Methodist Church at 471 New Market Blvd, Boone, NC 28607. Selah is led and organized by Jeff & Carrie McClain. Jeff is an ordained pastor and served on staff at Boone United Methodist Church for many years. Both Jeff and his wife, Carrie, received their Masters in Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL. They have a passion for creating sacred spaces that allow people to connect to God. Jeff and Carrie live in Boone with their three children.

Unfortunately there's just too much going on with our family Christmas tree farm right now to allow me to be fully present to Selah in the way it requires and deserves. It was an absolute joy to lead this ministry, and I'm so grateful to all of you who were a part of it! Special shout out to Doug and Laura Kaufman for sharing their musical talents! I hope we can restart Selah in the future - we'll see how the Spirit leads. Continued blessings on your spiritual journey! If you'd like help along the path, please reach out to me about spiritual direction through www.evergreen-pathways.com Peace to you!

Find your path. We all need guidance from time to time. You might be stuck, need something new, have a decision to make, or don’t know which way to go.  There are multiple paths you can take. At Evergreen Pathways, we help you discover what makes you feel rooted, what grounds you, and what path ...
