In 1871, a small group of Christians wanted to worship together in a central location, leading to the formation of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the guidance of Reverend Billy Cox and H. The first church building, constructed from logs, was established on Mrs. Annie Garrett's estate, situated between Preston and Lee streets in the five-hundred block. For over 150 years, the Church has thrived and

fulfilled its mission. We are grateful to all the dedicated men and women who sacrificed for our Church. We aim to continue making history for Bethlehem Baptist and aspire that future generations will take pride in our accomplishments, just as we honor the pioneers who established this remarkable church. Please keep us in your prayers as God continues to bless our ministry at The House of Bread in the years ahead. Bethlehem Baptist Church is committed to expanding our current campus, which will be located in the heart of Bonham.
