Join us on Sunday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. for a special worship service led by our youth. It will be a meaningful time of celebration and worship as our young people share their gifts, faith, and hearts with our church family. Immediately following the combined worship service, we will gather for our annual Birthday Potluck. Bring your favorite dish to share as we celebrate the birthdays of all in attendance and enjoy a wonderful meal together!

For years, FPC has been sharing joy and hope by providing bicycles to children and families in our community during Spirit of Giving Bonham. Last year, the generosity of our congregation and community allowed us to distribute 124 bicycles! This year, with God’s help, our goal is 125 bicycles or more. If you would like to support this mission, please include your gift with your church offering or mail to FPC, 818 N. Main, Bonham. Please write “For Bicycles” in the memo line of checks. Thank you for helping us make a difference—one bicycle at a time!

The annual Presbyterian Women’s salad luncheon was enjoyed by many ladies who shared delicious dishes! Margaret Ashmore gave an inspirational talk about the 23rd Psalm. Margaret, her parents and siblings were members of FPC during her youth. Sam Lumpkins was awarded the Honorary Lifetime Membership by last year’s honoree, Julia Todd. It was a lovely event.

All ladies of the church are invited to enjoy fellowship, delicious salads and desserts, and an inspiring message from Bonham native Margaret Ashmore. We will also announce this year’s Honorary Life Membership Award recipient and learn about the PW Birthday Offering. Bring a salad, your appetite, and a friend!

Sunday, August 9th will be Promotion Sunday and Blessing of the Backpacks. During both services, Pastor Lisa will bless backpacks for all those returning to school. Students, staff, admin, and volunteers are encouraged to bring their bag or tote to be blessed.
