It’s not often that I sit and create something for my own joy. I wish I had more time to invest in my personal art but most of the things I create are for others or for commission because of the season of life that I’m in right now. This wood burning is something I’ve wanted to do for over a year. I would love to one day do a series of wood burnings and call the entire series Fields from Home. If I do get to add to the series then this would be my first one. I love this version of southern snow. This is a wood burning of a cotton field with watercolor paint and chalk paint on top. It was so fun to create and gave me peace as I was reflecting on the beautiful countryside God blessed our family to live among. I decided to enter this into the Georgia National Fair and hope it’s selected!
