What's one lesson God taught you the hard way?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

Trusting God is easy when everything is going well. It's harder when prayers seem unanswered, plans change, or the future feels uncertain. Yet faith was never meant to depend on seeing the entire road ahead. Faith is taking the next step because we trust the One who does.

God sees what we cannot. He knows the obstacles ahead, the doors that need to close, and the blessings that are still being prepared. What feels like a delay to us may actually be His protection. What feels like a detour may be leading us exactly where we need to be.

Today, instead of carrying every worry, place them in God's hands. You don't have to understand everything He is doing to trust that He is working. His track record is faithfulness, and His promises have not changed.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help me trust You even when I don't understand what You're doing. When fear, doubt, or worry try to take over, remind me that You are in control. Give me peace for today and faith for tomorrow. Teach me to lean on Your wisdom instead of my own understanding and to rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for good. Thank You for Your faithfulness and unfailing love.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today I place my son into Your loving hands as he begins this new journey. Thank You for the years You have entrusted him to my care, and thank You for walking beside him every step of the way.

Lord, go before him and make his path straight. Give him wisdom when he faces decisions, strength when challenges arise, and peace when uncertainty tries to take hold. Protect him from harm, surround him with godly influences, and remind him daily that he is never alone because You are with him.

Help me trust You. When I worry, remind me that You love him even more than I do. Teach me to release my fears and place my confidence in Your perfect plan for his life.

May he grow in faith, character, and purpose. May he seek You first, hear Your voice clearly, and follow wherever You lead. Bless the work of his hands, the relationships he builds, and the future You have prepared for him.

I release my son into Your care, knowing that Your hands are stronger, Your wisdom is greater, and Your love never fails.

If I call Him Lord, I speak of His authority.
If I call Him King, I speak of His rule.

But when I call Him Father, I speak of a love I did not earn.

The Creator of galaxies knows my name.
The Judge of all mankind calls me His child.
The One enthroned in heaven invites me near.

Not because I deserve it.
Not because I achieved it.
But because Jesus made a way.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today I ask for peace. Peace in the middle of uncertainty, peace in the middle of waiting, and peace in the middle of things I cannot control. Quiet the worries that weigh on my heart and calm the thoughts that keep me restless.

Help me let go of what I cannot change and trust You with what lies ahead. Give strength to those who are struggling, comfort to those who are hurting, and hope to those who feel lost. Remind us that we do not have to carry every burden alone.

Fill our hearts with kindness, our minds with clarity, and our lives with Your presence. May Your peace guide our words, our decisions, and our steps today.
