Hello Everyone,
Just in case some don't know, this cemetery is a privately owned cemetery. Second, if you have not been receiving our yearly letter and would like one sent to you, please let me know, so I can get you on our mailing list. Third, due to some shenanigans going on at our cemetery, we will be putting in, in the next few months, some lighting, cameras, and alarm systems. If need be, a fence across the front with double gates that will be lock at dusk and opened early in the mornings. Signs have now been posted, as to it being private property, no Trespassing, trapping, hunting and so forth. As far as just the Trespassing, that does not apply to those just visiting our beautiful little cemetery, and the precious folks that live there, as well as those doing work on the property, during daylight hours. We welcome all of you, but not those there to do bad things. Next, we have asked and ask again, to PLEASE maintain the decorations you place on the graves and do NOT throw any of these such items into the woods or back area when disposal of them. Take your garbage home with you. People are still throwing their garbage from the graves in these areas. You are more than welcome to help out, by throwing such things, as sticks, limbs or pine cones into the near by woods. This helps our cemetery look neat and nice, as well as help the 2 folks that are working hard for free to keep our cemetery beautiful. As a matter of fact, these two people, along with a couple of others, have been using their own personal money to help our cemetery in the things they have been doing and will be doing in the future. Next, As of now, any of the artificial flowers left to dry rot and peices of them to fall and/or blow all over the cemetery, will be removed by one of the caretaker, that work for free, to keep our cemetery neat and nice. Next, We don't mind your fur friends coming with you, but you must remove any number two that they do. Some folks that are visiting, as well as some using the cemetery as nothing more than a dog park are leaving such nastiness behind. I have even found some on graves. Yes, I know sometime it is lose dogs passing through, but I have seen the other two things mentioned above happen. Please either take it home with you in a bag or only throw it into the thick area of the woods and not where someone may be needing to walk to do work. We love our cemetery and hope you do too, and will do your part to help us keep it a beautiful place to visit, as well as for the folks that reside there. Next, I am still trying to find someone to grind down the 3 stumps on the east side of the cemetery, so we can get the new road in, which will open up some more area for a few new graves to go in, on that side of the cemetery. Finally, We do have future plans to expand towards the back, but that will take some time to do, as we can only do so much of the work ourselves, and must pay for the rest of the services needed to do so, on the money we get through donations, as we are non-profit. Any one willing to help, or know someone whom would be willing to remove trees safely as to not harm people or graves and remove stumps, in the back area, at no cost, would be truly appreciated and that would leave monies to do even more things needing done. As we also wish to in the future, to put a simple country fence around the entire cemetery. This type fence will be easy to maintain, easier to install, cheaper in price, blend in with the environment, and easy to replace parts, that might get damaged by hurricanes or time. Any suggestions concerning our cemetery are also welcomed.
Thank You for your time and assistance in these matters, and GOD Bless You and Your's.
