Pianist Alexander Lane (our very gifted Minster of Music) leads a crack rhythm section and top-notch horns in a big band concert that will make the '20s ROAR again. The evening will feature hot instrumental arrangements from the late '20s and early '30s, including "Get Lucky," "Miss Annabelle Lee," and "Feelin' No Pain". You'll be feeling no pain – only joy – as this expert outfit recreates the sounds of jazz both hot and sweet. Also on the program are some of the vocal hits of the era, including "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Some of These Days," and "Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries".
The Andres Institute of Art, located in Brookline NH (just N of Pepperell MA) about 15 miles west of Nashua, is home to the largest sculpture park in New England, with over 100 sculptures along 10 miles of trails. On the day of the concert, a Vintage Pop-Up Mini-Market will take place inside the Welcome Center from noon until showtime. Make a day of it – come for an afternoon of hiking and antiquing, stay for an evening of wonderful music!
