We're Catholic, so we must confess our sins. Last week we served some pretty unpalatable French fries. We have a new system for keeping them hot in the oven, not just in the warmer. We also offer baked potatoes today. For our penance, we are also serving shrimp. $10 gets you baked fish, fries or baked potatoes, slider roll, and coleslaw. Coffee, tea, and lemonade to drink. Ice cream or cheesecake bites for dessert. Dine in or take out. Serving until 6:30 p.m.

In response to the teaching of Jesus, and as a service to the community, St. Maurice accepts donations of clean, lightly used clothing and transports them either to the Salvation Army in Vernon or the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry in Willimantic for sorting and distribution.

We invite you to take advantage of this service and request that you:
• Select for donation lightly used items that may include clothing, headgear, footwear, bedding, or towels.
• Launder or otherwise appropriately clean the items to be donated.
• Separate footwear and outerwear such as coats, jackets, gloves, or mittens from other items.
• Place items in trash bags or shopping bags and tie shut. Boxes are accepted, but bags are preferred.
• Place the donation in the shed nearest the parking lot behind the rectory from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
• Latch the door to the shed when finished.
• Not leave other items such as toys, books, furniture, or small appliances. Please donate such things directly to WAIM.

Thank you!
