Polk County Christian Social Ministries Clothing Center (aka the free store) will be closed beginning Monday, December 8 through January 25, 2026. We will reopen on Monday, January 26.

The free store will be closed Monday, Feb 17 in honor of Presidents Day. If Bolivar Schools are closed on Wed, our policy is to also be closed.

Several people have asked if we are closing the clothing center (the free store) since we will no longer being doing the Share Your Christmas program. We are not closing the center. It is closed now for the holidays but we will reopen at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 27. 2025. We will still welcome your donations of clothing, linens, small kitchen items, etc. We just can't take large furniture and appliances as we do not have room to store them. We appreciate your support.

Sign up for Share Your Christmas 2024 will begin Monday, October 28. Sign up will be held at the free store during open hours. You should bring with you proof of residency and ID for each person living in your household 100% of the time. Applications will be available for pick up on Monday, Oct. 21. It will save you time to already have it filled out when you come in to sign up. Online registration will also be available beginning Monday, Oct. 28. Last day for signup is Wednesday, Nov. 27 for those who come in. For online registrations, they will end on Tuesday, Nov. 26. A link for the online registration will be posted on this page and on the Share Your Christmas page. If you have questions, call the free store during open hours.

We extend our thanks to all those who answered our plea for donations of school age clothing. Our racks are now full. But that doesn't mean we won't accept any more! Donations are accepted during our open hours: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 3. Thank you and God bless you!

Help! We are in of children's clothing. Our racks are bare. If you have clothing your child has outgrown, please consider donating it to our Free Store. If you have left over children's clothing from your yard sale, would you consider donating it to us? All donations are tax deductible, just ask for a form. We are open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 AM to 3 PM. Thank you!
