🚨 Reminder for Tomorrow at Dry Creek Community Church 🚨

Starting Sunday, March 15, we are moving to ONE Sunday Service at 10:00 AM.

For the past month, we’ve been announcing the change from our previous 9 AM and 11 AM services, and tomorrow, we officially begin gathering together as one church family.

Even better — after the service we’re sharing a church potluck meal together, so bring a dish and stay for some great food and fellowship.

If you’ve been looking for a church home or a place to connect with people, you’re invited.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The kingdom of God operates in a way we never expect. When Jesus taught us to pray "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors," He wasn't giving us a nice suggestion. He was revealing the currency of His kingdom.

Consider this: A king forgives an impossible debt of 200,000 years worth of wages. The servant walks free. But minutes later, he chokes out someone who owes him just 100 days worth of work. The extravagant mercy he received left him completely unchanged.

How often do we do the same? We've been forgiven an insurmountable debt, yet we clutch tightly to the wrongs done against us. We choose to pass on our pain instead of absorbing it the way our King did.

Here's the hard truth: There's something about the way we treat others that directly impacts the way God treats us. Forgiveness isn't optional in the kingdom. It's not condoning what they did. It's not forgetting. It's not even necessarily reconciliation. But it is required.

Unforgiveness is a toxic attempt at self-preservation that only prevents us from finding true freedom. It holds our future hostage to someone else's past actions.

From the cross, Jesus said "Father, forgive them." The pain stopped there. He absorbed it instead of passing it on.

The question for us today: Is there anyone you need to set free so you too can be free?

Deny yourself. Take up your cross. Follow Him into the freedom that forgiveness brings.

“And forgive us our trespasses (sins), As we forgive them that trespass (sin) against us.” We forgive others in order to be forgiven by our Father in Heaven!! That doesn’t mean forget and it doesn’t mean there is no justice for those sins. It simply means to forgive. The simplest Webster’s dictionary definition of forgive is “to cease to feel resentment against.” As we forgive and ask for forgiveness, we will be released from the prison we have placed ourselves in and in turn, we can receive mercy, grace, and blessings in our life.
