TCOC | Leavenworth Summer Camp 2026 Recap

Once upon a time, a group of 70 strangers decided to get together in the woods at Camas Meadows Bible Camp. Moms and doctors. Teachers and engineers. Old and young. Students and dads. Seasoned and greenhorns. We all decided to gather in the tress, under the stars for one purpose. To converge under the banner of Jesus and maybe learn a few things in the process.

We weren’t really sure what to expect. Would anyone show up? Would anyone want to learn more about being in the outdoors? Based on the amount of spiritual warfare beforehand, we had an inclination that the Lord was up to something. Something was about to happen in the physical that would make an impact in the spiritual, for generations to come. It was the faithful prayers of the saints that carried us through. We came. We ate. We adventured. We cried. We learned. We competed. We conversed. We put miles under our boots and napped in hammocks.

Strangers came together and became friends. Friends re-met and became family. The leadership team wasn’t even certain how an event like this would be received, one geared towards teaching. We are so deeply grateful to have been trusted with people’s time, money, and hearts. We don’t take it lightly!

What we know for certain, meeting strangers in the woods who also love Jesus is filling a need. We’re going to need a week (or a month) of sleep to recover from this one. Thank you for showing up! Thank you for being patient with us as we tried this new kind of event! Thank you for learning! Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus! We’re all better together. Until next time, friends.

BOLD FAITH. WILD PLACES.

Bold Faith, Wild Places is the theme for our 2026 Leavenworth gathering.

Following Jesus has never been about choosing the easy road. Sometimes He leads us down paths we never would have chosen. Those seasons can be uncomfortable, confusing, and painful. But when we look back on the times our faith grew the most, they usually weren’t the easy ones. They were the seasons where we couldn’t see what was around the next bend, and the only thing we could do was take the next step and trust God with the rest.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons we keep coming back to the mountains. Out here, it’s hard to pretend we’re in control. The mountains remind us how small we are. The trails remind us we don’t always know what’s ahead. The wilderness has a way of reminding us how much we depend on God.

Throughout Scripture, God often met people in the wilderness—not because the wilderness was the goal, but because it was where they learned to trust Him.

This weekend isn’t only about the mountains. It’s about Bold Faith lived out in the Wild Places. The wild places aren’t just the ones we’ll hike. They’re the conversations we’ve been avoiding, the decisions we’re unsure about, the seasons we never would have chosen, and the moments where following Jesus asks us to take a step before we know how everything will turn out.

We’ll hike, share meals, stay around the campfire, worship, tell stories, ask honest questions, and spend time with people who are simply trying to follow Jesus together.

Our hope is that you’ll leave Leavenworth trusting God a little more than when you arrived, ready to take the next step of faith, build lasting friendships, and live your faith openly, pointing others to Christ.

Bold Faith isn’t reserved for the mountaintops. It grows in the Wild Places.

TCOC | Grand Canyon 2026 Event Recap

This morning my bladder woke me up before my body was ready to be vertical. As I cleared my bleary eyes I went to my hidey spot so no one would be scarred if they happened to peek out their tent. I looked out over a meadow and saw a herd of deer happily munching on their sweet grass. I finished up my morning duties and stayed to creep on said deer and all of their peacefulness. Not 30 seconds later, a very perturbed lady elk came grunting and running across the meadow toward them. The does barely raised their heads and the ones that did looked at her as if to say, “easy there Patricia! We’re not going anywhere, head on your merry way.” (I apologize if anyone here is actually named Patricia. Welcome to my crazy brain!) The deer stayed put. Together. Unmoved by the chaos Patricia brought into the calm morning. She kept on grunting, running out of sight.

This is a beautiful picture what I saw this weekend at TCOC GC. A group of Believers coming together, refusing to unsettled by the things around them and staying together instead getting separated by the hard.

People pushing themselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually
Living like Jesus by taking care of strangers and each other

This trip would not have been possible without the hard work of John Adamson, Killeen Partridge Galbraith, and the prayers of the leadership team. I’m honored to serve alongside some of the best humanoids ever created. ❤️

TCOC | Fi****ms Training #5 Event Recap

We had another great time this past weekend at the 5th fi****ms training event in Boise, ID. This one was much smaller than previous ones but that didn’t mean we had less fun. The participants had more personal instruction time and a lot more rounds fired than previous trainings. Nate of Valiance Training and his instructors always do a great job of bringing biblical principles and values to each and every training.

Whether or not you’re already proficient with fi****ms, you will come out of these with more knowledge and insight. These are also perfect for anyone who has never even picked up a firearm before, which has been the case for a lot of the participants in the past.

If you’ve been on the fence about going, I highly urge you to attend the next one. We are still debating on if we will be holding another training in September or October, but if you were planning to go, please let us know and we will make it happen. We will for sure have another one in May 2027.

We’ll try to get more sponsors for the next events to make it more fun and perhaps with more giveaways and free stuff. Thanks to Cerakote (David Meador) for sponsoring this past event with free ammo! Much appreciated!

We’ve typically tried to plan some additional activities and time for fellowship after the training, but in the past it’s often been more informal, something we’ve played by ear. Moving forward, we want to be more intentional about that. Our goal is to have a clearer plan in place so that everyone has meaningful opportunities to connect and spend time together beyond just the training itself.

J. Paul Knight shared this perspective, and I really appreciated it, especially for those who are traveling to Boise, we want to make sure your time here feels full and purposeful. Heather Willets also mentioned that while the training is a big reason she attends, it’s the fellowship that keeps her coming back. That really resonated with us, because at the end of the day, that’s the heart behind everything we do at TCOC.

For those who have gone previously, please give people a brief testimonial of your experience at these events. It might help with someone on the fence about attending. With all that said, we implore you to consider attending the next one! Feel free to ask any questions!

We’re gathering August 21–24, 2026 at Camas Bible Camp near Leavenworth, WA for a long weekend of learning, worship, and community in the outdoors. This is the first time we’re doing something like this, and we’re excited for it. ✝️⁣

The Accommodations⁣

Camas Bible Camp has cabins and facilities that we will be utilizing. Food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) is included in the price and most allergies can be accommodated. People are also welcome to tent camp and car camp. There will be plenty of space.
