Yesterday was a beautiful first! The Care Collective held its inaugural gathering in our Fellowship Hall at Boise First UCC. 💛
This new ministry gives caregivers of loved ones with dementia a few hours of respite, while those living with dementia enjoy fun activities, good company, and lunch together.
Caregiving is sacred — and exhausting. We’re grateful to offer care and community on both sides of that journey. Many thanks to the leaders in this photo who welcomed the guests as they arrived!

You're Invited: Hillview Community BBQ! 🌭

Get ready for great food, sunshine, and neighborly fun! We’re firing up the grill and bringing our community together. Whether you want to catch up with friends or meet new faces, there will be something for everyone.

As we count down the remaining weeks of summer and begin to anticipate the new school year, let's harness our collective power to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors at McMillan Elementary! See the items below and consider what you might contribute to help us create a brighter start for teachers and students in early August! There will be baskets in the foyer July 26 and August 2.

🩸The American Red Cross is facing a severe, nationwide blood shortage due to a sharp drop in summer donations as people travel and school breaks begin. Unfortunately this drop in donation also coincides with peak "trauma season," when outdoor activities and travel cause a rise in severe injuries, further depleting hospital stocks.

🩸🩸Why it matters: A single car crash victim can require up to 100 units of blood. The Red Cross must collect over 13,000 donations every single day just to keep up with hospital demand.

To alleviate those shortage, Hillview United Methodist Church is hosting a blood drive on July 15th from noon to 5 pm. Donations takes and hour (usually less) AND you get cookies 🍪 and juice 🧃 after. Can't donate? Share this post on your page!
