Sunday Sermon: Private Conversations, Public Love | Matt 18:15-20, Rom 13:8-14

Christian love is demonstrated in worship and in the way we handle conflict and relationships. Jesus teaches that when disagreements arise, we should approach one another privately with the goal of restoration rather than condemnation, while Paul reminds us that the only debt we should continually owe is the debt of love.

Jesus challenges us to replace gossip with grace, pride with humility, and division with reconciliation, reminding us that our private conversations become part of our public witness. When we "put on the Lord Jesus Christ," our relationships reflect His love, and the Church becomes a living testimony of God's restoring power to the world.

Worship with us at 10! Sunday School small groups meet at 9 AM in the library, and after worship at 11:15. We look forward to welcoming you to Church of the Covenant!

Sermon: How to Follow Jesus
Matthew 16:21-28

Sunday we explore the difference between simply believing in Jesus and truly following Him.

Peter identifies Jesus as the Messiah, but struggles to accept the sacrificial path that Jesus would take. Jesus invites disciples to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him—not as a call to suffering for suffering's sake, but as a call to surrender our own desires in order to live according to God's purpose.

True discipleship is measured not only by what we believe, but by how we live, love, forgive, serve, and treat others.

Worship with us at 10 & Join us for small group study!

We offer an adult class at 9 am in the library before worship, and after worship we have offerings for young children, elementary age children, youth, and 2 adult classes.

Sunday Sermon: “Who Do You Say He Is?”
Scriptures: Matthew 16:13-20

Jesus asked His disciples "Who do you say that I am?" Beyond theology, this is a deeply personal question that every believer must answer for themselves.

Our understanding of Jesus directly shapes how we live, love, and treat others.

By confessing that Jesus as the Son of the Living God, our lives in turn should reflect His grace, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love.

Join us for Worship at 10, and stay for Sunday School.
