Bohemia Church OPC

Bohemia Church OPC We are a reformed, Bible-believing congregation and part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

We believe the Bible is the very Word of God, without error and entirely trustworthy. It contains all man needs to know about his relationship with God, now and eternally. We believe that there is only one triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins so that anyone who truly trusts Him as

their Lord and Savior, with the help of the Holy Sprit, will not die, but have eternal life. We are a reformed, Bible-believing congregation and part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, which means our basic beliefs can be found in the Westminster Confessional Standards, which you can read here https://www.opc.org/wcf.html

As we come together to worship God every Sunday morning, have you ever wondered what is an acceptable worship to Him? Is it a matter of having the right liturgy? Is it about having good historical traditions? Or is there something deeper that underlies all these good things? In this second indictment in the book of Malachi, the people offered God worship filled with proper ceremonies and outward forms. Yet God told them that, through their worship, they were actually despising Him rather than honoring Him. Let us discover why this was the case and what truly makes worship acceptable to God.

Most people will readily say that God loves them, and that is a good thing. Often, they point to the many blessings they believe God has bestowed upon them: health, recovery from illness, family, employment, financial prosperity, and countless other gifts. But what do we say when our health fails and turns to the worse? What do we say when we unexpectedly lose loved ones, when our jobs disappear and our money runs out, when grief overwhelms us? How are we to understand the love of God, a sovereign God, when the worst happens?
That was the very question the people in Malachi’s day asked, How Has God Loved Us?

We celebrated Mother’s Day with gratitude, reflecting on the example of Lois and Eunice, Timothy’s grandmother and mother (2 Tim. 1:5) whose sincere faith shaped his life. May we follow their example, leaving to our children and grandchildren the most precious legacy: a life grounded in Christ ❤️

By the time the prophet Malachi, the last prophet before Christ appeared, the people of Israel were gripped by discouragement and spiritual apathy. Life was difficult, and the promises of God and the better future they expected seemed far away. They began to question God; their worship grew cold and distant, and the lifestyles of neighboring pagan nations became increasingly attractive. Yet Malachi called them back to God’s promises. He insisted that His words would come to pass, that some of their troubles existed precisely because they had lost faith, and that even in the midst of difficulties, they could find peace and joy if they sought and trusted God.

Follow Me | John 21:15-25 | April 26, 2026

This is the end of John’s account of Jesus' life and ministry. Here, we meet the disciples at the shore of the Sea of Galilee. As the sun begins to rise, they gather around a fire, enjoying grilled fish that Jesus Himself prepared for them. And so, as John brings his work to an end, he invites us to be there with the disciples, to imagine ourselves in their place once more. There are still important things to be said; indeed, in John’s final narrative, he masterfully leaves us with three cornerstones of the Gospel. He reminds us that Jesus died to forgive sinners; that this is not, ultimately, about us but Christ; and that to follow Him is to die to oneself and yet find fullness of life
