Sunday Sermon Reflection⛪️
June 7, 2026

📖Scripture: Mark 10:46-52
🗣️Subject: It’s Now or Never
Sub Topic: Don’t Pass Me By

We must maximize the moments that God gives us. Opportunities do not last forever. Blind Bartimaeus recognized that Jesus was passing by, and he refused to let his moment slip away. When Jesus passes by, it’s now or never.

✨Key Points:
🔸Bartimaeus’ Condition
🔸Bartimaeus’ Cry
🔸Bartimaeus’ Call
🔸Bartimaeus’ Conversion
🔸Bartimaeus’ Redemption

Blind Bartimaeus recognized that Jesus was passing by and understood that he could not afford to miss his moment. Though physically blind and forced to beg, his condition mirrors the spiritual darkness and dependence experienced by those who are disconnected from Christ. Yet, faith was born when he heard about Jesus.

Despite opposition, Bartimaeus cried out for mercy with persistence and sincerity. His faith refused to be silenced, and his desperate cry caused Jesus to stop and call for him. Because he refused to give up, he received not only his sight, but also a transformed life.

Bartimaeus did not leave Jesus the same way he came. His encounter with Christ brought conversion, restoration, and redemption. His story reminds us that when God presents an opportunity for change, healing, and salvation, we must seize the moment. Jesus is still passing by, and now is the time to call on Him.

Don’t allow fear, pride, or the opinions of others to cause you to miss your divine opportunity. It’s now or never—don’t let Jesus pass you by.

Wednesday Night Bible Study:

1. The Submission of Jesus
Jesus returns to His disciples and declares, “The hour has come.” Instead of fleeing or resisting, He willingly steps forward to meet the crowd sent to arrest Him.

2. The Surrender of Jesus
When Judas arrives with armed men, Jesus does not resist. Even when a disciple strikes the servant of the high priest, Jesus stops the violence and heals the man (recorded in other Gospels).

3. The Sovereignty of Jesus
Even in chains, Jesus is the one in control. He reminds His disciples that He could call twelve legions of angels, but He chooses not to.

👩🏾‍🎓A Message to Our Graduates👨🏾‍🎓

To our beloved graduates—whether you are stepping up from Pre‑K, crossing the bridge from elementary to middle school, rising into high school, or preparing to launch into college—we want you to know how deeply proud your church family is of you. Each of you is a reminder of God’s faithfulness, His creativity, and His purpose at work in the world. As you move into this next chapter, we pray that you carry with you the truth that you are loved, you are capable, and you are never walking alone.

God has planted gifts in you that the world needs, and He will guide your steps as you continue to grow, learn, and discover who He created you to be.
We celebrate your hard work, your resilience, and your courage to dream. We speak blessings over your friendships, your studies, your decisions, and your future opportunities. May God surround you with wisdom, protect your heart, and open doors that no one can shut. And when challenges come—and they will—remember that your church is cheering for you, praying for you, and believing in the greatness God has placed inside you.

As you step forward, may you walk in confidence, kindness, and faith. May you shine brightly in every classroom, every hallway, every campus, and every new environment God leads you into. This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to see all that God will do through your life. Congratulations, graduates. Your future is full of promise, and your church family stands with you every step of the way.

“We love you and there is nothing you can do about it “
