Yesterday, we celebrated Adrian Blakely and Cortavion Dixon for completing their New Membership Class. This morning, they took the next step by publicly declaring their faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized! 🙌🏽💧✝️

09/06/2026

Yesterday, we celebrated as Cortavion Dixon completed his New Membership Class. This morning, we celebrated even more! 🙌🏽

Cortavion accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and as evidence of his faith and new life in Christ, he was baptized! 💧✝️

What a blessing it is to witness a young man publicly declare his faith and make the decision to follow Jesus.

We are so proud of Cortavion and excited to watch him grow in his walk with Christ. We believe God has something amazing in store for his life!

New life. New beginning. New walk with Christ. 🙏🏽❤️

The Evidence on the Cross

Scripture: John 19:34 (KJV)
“But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.”

At the cross, Jesus did not just give us something to talk about—He gave us evidence.

When the soldier pierced His side, blood and water flowed out. What flowed from Christ is evidence of what His sacrifice accomplished for us.

The cross provides evidence of:
* Reconciliation
* Redemption
* Regeneration

But the question today is not just, “Is there evidence on the cross?”

The real question is: IS THE EVIDENCE ON YOU?

Key Points:
1. THE PROOF OF RECONCILIATION
The flow confirmed the physical reality of Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus truly suffered. Jesus truly died. His death was not symbolic—it was real. And because His death was real, our reconciliation with God can be real. Sin separated us from God, but the cross made a way for us to come back into relationship with Him.

Reconciliation means:
➡️ The relationship has been restored.
➡️ The distance has been removed.
➡️ The separation has been dealt with.

Jesus died so we could be brought back to God.

2. THE PROOF OF REDEMPTION
The blood was proof!
Blood flowed from the side of Jesus, providing evidence that a price had been paid. Redemption means to be purchased, bought back, and delivered from bo***ge.

We were trapped by sin. But Jesus paid the price! The blood is the receipt that says:
PAID IN FULL!

You were redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

3. THE PROOF OF REGENERATION
The water points us toward cleansing and new life. Regeneration means that God does an inward work in us. You may look the same on the outside, but when you truly know Him, something begins to change on the inside!

Baptism symbolizes that new spiritual life. It is evidence of identification with Christ.

It represents:
* Freedom
* New life
* Obedience

Baptism doesn’t just say, “I got wet.”

It declares: “I have been changed!”

You go down identifying with His death, and you rise identifying with His resurrection and new life.

THE QUESTION: IS THE EVIDENCE ON YOU?

The cross has evidence. The blood is evidence. The water is evidence.

But if you say you know Him…

WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE IN YOUR LIFE?

Because knowing Jesus should produce an inward work that eventually becomes visible on the outside. Your disposition should change. Your attitude should change. The way you respond should change. The way you love should change. The way you forgive should change. The things you once enjoyed may no longer satisfy you.

You cannot encounter Christ and remain completely unchanged! The evidence may not always be loud. The evidence may not always be seen in what you wear.
The evidence may not always be seen in what you say.

But sooner or later…

THE INWARD WORK WILL SHOW UP IN YOUR OUTWARD WALK.

The cross is the evidence of what Christ did FOR me.

My changed life should be the evidence of what Christ is doing IN me.

So I ask you one more time:

IS THE EVIDENCE ON YOU?

Reconciled.
Redeemed.
Regenerated.

THE EVIDENCE IS ON THE CROSS… BUT IT SHOULD ALSO BE IN YOUR LIFE.

Renewing Our Commitments — Joshua 1:1–11
The heart of Joshua 1:1–11 is God calling His people to renew their commitments as they step into a new season. Your three headings are exactly the right structure — now let’s deepen each one into a strong teaching outline you can use for preaching, devotion, or leadership training.

Grace in a Dry Place
2 Samuel 9:1–4

Sermon Summary:
In 2 Samuel 9, David asks, “Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” David finds Mephibosheth, who was living in Lo-debar, a dry and desolate place. Though Mephibosheth felt forgotten, broken, and unworthy, grace found him right where he was.

This reminds us that God’s grace can reach us in the driest places of our lives. We may feel forgotten, overlooked, broken, or disqualified, but grace has a way of remembering us, rescuing us, redeeming us, and restoring us.

1. Grace Remembered Me🙏🏾
David remembered his covenant with Jonathan, and because of that covenant, Mephibosheth was remembered.
You may feel forgotten, but grace has not forgotten you.
God remembers His promises even when people forget your name.

2. Grace Rescued Me🙏🏾
Mephibosheth was in Lo-debar, but David sent for him.
Grace came looking for him.
Sometimes grace will find you in the very place where you thought you would remain stuck.

3. Grace Redeemed Me🙏🏾
Mephibosheth had nothing to offer David. His position changed because of a covenant he did not make.
That is the power of grace—we receive what we could never earn.
God’s grace gives us a new identity and a new place at His table.

4. Grace Restored Me🙏🏾
David didn't just rescue Mephibosheth; he restored Saul's land to him and gave him a permanent place at the king's table.
Grace doesn't just bring you out—it can restore what was lost.

Closing Thought
Lo-debar was his location, but it wasn't his destiny.
The dry place did not have the final word. Grace found him, brought him out, gave him back what was lost, and seated him at the king's table.

I may be in a dry place, but I'm not forgotten.
Grace remembered me.
Grace rescued me.
Grace redeemed me.
Grace restored me!
