We had such a blast at Oglethorpe’s 4th of July celebration tonight and got so busy we forgot to take more photos!

Lots of beautiful faces painted but more importantly lots of invitations to come and see what we’re all about given out and lots of our neighbors spoken to about the gospel. 🤩

And nobody got heat stroke 🥵

Thanks to everyone who came and said hello. Hope to see some of you at our meeting tomorrow!

Thanks guys for helping us get the Word out!

Yes we’re saved by faith. Yes we’re saved by grace. Yes you have to believe.

But don’t forget Jesus said except a man be born of water and the Spirit he CANNOT enter the kingdom of God John 3:5

Born of water - baptized by full immersion
Born of the Spirit - miraculously filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Look at Jesus’s own words - The wind (spirit) bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound (voice, language) thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is EVERY ONE that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8

Compare this to what happened in Acts 2 the first time the Holy Spirit was made available and again in Acts 10 and Acts 19.

3 clear examples that follow what Jesus said.

2 Corinthians 13:1 KJV
…In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

If you were planning to come to our presentation today on speaking in tongues but didn’t get there - we’re sorry you couldn’t make it!

Please know that you are welcome to join us for any of our regular meetings where someone is always more than happy to sit down with you, Bibles open and look at what God’s Word actually says on this topic - in context - and answer any questions you may have.

There may be a lot of debate and varying opinions about speaking in tongues - what it is, whether it’s necessary or useful or relevant for today or even scriptural but we believe in a God who cuts through the arguments and offers proof.

If it’s the truth, there’ll be proof.
