How valuable is it to have a great church home? .... Sunday @ 10 a.m. - The Big Picture - The rise of the Antichrist and World Government

This Sunday we will consider how current trends in world politics are revealing the nearness of the end of days and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are seeing the stage set for the rise of the great, final world dictator, the Antichrist. We will cover the scope of teaching on this great and evil world figure and discuss real world events that appear to be setting the stage for his appearance.

As we consider these things and the proofs that the elements are coming together for the fulfillment of Bible prophecies, I'm not proposing that we build bunkers in our backyards and hide out until the end as if there is no hope, that we become defeated, or fearful. We take these things to heart because they testify to us of the reliability and inspiration of the Bible, they challenge us to walk in holiness, to be diligent in ministry, and deeply concerned about our loved ones and neighbors who don't know the Lord. We will continue to walk each day addressing our responsibilities, while always walking humbly with the Lord.
 
"Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near...  “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Let's gather anticipating the presence of the Lord and with our hearts set to honor Him and to learn from His Word.

Fixing our eyes upon Jesus... That's what matters most. [Hebrews 12:2]... looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

IT’S TIME FOR LIFE GROUPS TO RESUME!

It’s time for Life Groups to resume! Our new 8-week Life Group cycle begins this week.

We take our example for Life Groups from Jesus Himself. Jesus chose twelve disciples and intentionally spent time with them—doing ministry together, teaching and explaining His Word, and building deep relationships. We also look to the early church in Acts, where believers gathered in the temple and then continued from house to house, breaking bread, fellowshipping, learning the apostles’ doctrine, and doing life together.

We can do no better than to follow the example of Jesus and the early church.

Life Groups are a place where we can both receive strength and give strength to one another. We absolutely love our Sunday morning gatherings, but Life Groups provide opportunities to accomplish some things that are difficult to accomplish in a larger gathering.

Life Groups give us an opportunity to ask questions, build meaningful friendships, grow deeper in God’s Word, engage in meaningful conversation, and serve together in ways that touch the lives of others.

Our Life Groups are designed with different emphases. Some focus primarily on Bible study, others on fellowship and building relationships, and others on serving and doing ministry together.

Whatever group you choose, we believe you will be blessed by participating—and, just as importantly, you will become a blessing to others.

Sunday at 10:00 a.m. - The Big Picture: The 7-year Tribulation.

This will be our second installment in our look at end times Bible prophecy. This is one of the most critical topics we can consider as believers. Jesus' first advent provided the atoning for our sins. His second advent and the events preceding it set the stage for His reign and rule on earth and our participation with Him.

Knowing Bible prophecy orients us, brings focus, and energizes holy living. It validates the reliability of the Bible and demonstrates its divinity.

This Sunday we will discuss why I believe we are in the last days, why I believe the book of Revelation discusses future events, and what it all means for our day to day walk with the Lord.

There is no need to let current events fill us with fear and uncertainty. History is "His-story" and He has revealed His will and plans to us.

I look forward to our time in the Word, to great worship, the presence of the Lord, and to fellowship together.
