Another wonderful school year has come to an end, and what a beautiful celebration we shared this past Sunday at our Armenian Sunday School End-of-Year Program!

Our students truly shined on stage and filled the day with joy and pride. The program began with the Armenian National Anthem, followed by an opening prayer led by Father Aved Terzian. From that moment on, the stage came alive with energy through beautiful Armenian poems, performances, songs, and dances that reflected the hard work, dedication, and growth of our students throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and all they have accomplished.

Congratulations to our Armenian Sunday School graduates, Nyree Karakashian and Celest Nazli, on reaching this meaningful milestone. May you continue to grow in knowledge and faith while carrying your Armenian roots forward with pride and love.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our parents for your continuous support and encouragement every step of the way. Your involvement plays an important role in our children’s growth and in strengthening their connection to their Armenian heritage.

We are also deeply grateful to our dedicated teachers for their time, patience, and commitment to preserving and teaching the Armenian language, faith, and culture to our students.

Special appreciation goes to our creative and talented school principal, Marie Pounardjian, for her outstanding leadership and for organizing such a beautiful and memorable program. And a very special thank you to Anna Karapetyan for the stunning balloon decorations that made the atmosphere even more festive and vibrant.

A most memorable weekend; being present at the 2026 Diocesan Assembly in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Gevork Sarkisian, Vice Chairman of the Parish Council; Vrej Yapoujian, Diocesan Delegate; and Marie Yapoujian, Women’s Guild Chair, represented St. David Armenian Church.
Witnessing the election of our Primate was an emotion not soon to be forgotten.
Sitting in a room with Women’s Guild chairs and delegates, exchanging ideas and sharing concerns was no less interesting or memorable.
We should encourage all who are able to experience such events at least once.

On April 24th, 2026, St. David and St. Mary Armenian Churches, together with all South Florida Armenian organizations, came together in unity to mark the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Fr. Aved Terzian and Fr. Vartan Joulfayan led a moving prayer service at the Khachkar, honoring the memory of our Holy Martyrs. With deep reverence, we remembered the lives lost and reflected on the strength, resilience, and enduring faith of our people.
The commemoration continued in St. David Mardigian Hall with our cultural program, which opened with the ACYOA Juniors singing the American and Armenian National Anthems live. The program continued with heartfelt poetry recitations by our Sunday School students, followed by a powerful performance by Marie Pounardjian, founder of the “Nreni” Dance Ensemble. Guests also enjoyed a beautiful piano performance by Nara Avetisyan and a short film on the Armenian Genocide created by Jean Mazmanian.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the April 24th Committee South Florida for organizing this meaningful commemoration, and to everyone who contributed to its success.
Thank you to our talented participants and to our strong community for coming together in unity to honor this important day. Together, we remember our past and renew our commitment to preserving our history, faith, and identity for future generations.

Dear Armenians, dear friends, and cherished members of our community,
Let us come together in unity for the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a solemn evening dedicated to honoring the 1.5 million Holy Martyrs of 1915 through prayer, reflection, and remembrance.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM, we will gather at St. David Armenian Church. The evening will begin with a church service and Khachkar Prayer, followed by poetry presented by our Sunday School students, a moving performance by the “Nreni” Dance Ensemble, and a short film reflecting on our history and enduring legacy.

Our Armenian Annual Food Festival was a beautiful celebration of culture, community, and tradition 🙏🇦🇲
From the moment the day began, the atmosphere was filled with joy and the rich flavors of our delicious Armenian dishes. Everyone enjoyed the food, music, and the wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate our heritage.
The kids had an amazing time as well, especially in the bounce house and inflatable attractions, which kept them smiling and full of energy all day long. Our traditional Armenian corner photo zone also became a favorite spot, inspiring everyone to pause, take pictures, and capture meaningful memories together. A special thank you to Anna Karapetyan for creating this beautiful Armenian traditional photo zone.
A special highlight of the day was the stunning performances by the “Nreni” Dance Ensemble under the guidance of our amazing instructor Marie Pounardjian. Our Armenian folk dances brought so much beauty, pride, and energy to the festival, making the day even more unforgettable.
This wonderful event would not have been possible without our incredible volunteers, especially the dedicated ladies who worked tirelessly for weeks to prepare everything. A heartfelt thank you to our Parish Council member and event chairman, Hovick Suleymanian, for organizing such an amazing festival.
We are truly grateful to everyone who contributed, supported, and joined us. It was a day filled with warmth, joy, and unforgettable memories that we are so happy to have shared together 🇦🇲
