INSTRUCTIONS: Prepare an inflatable globe. Write the Big Idea on small pieces of paper and have tape available. Have the kids pass the globe around the room and when you say "freeze" the person holding the globes tapes on the first word of the bottom line. Keep passing until all the words are on the globe.

ALL AGES AND STAGES - Invite your Grandparents to church for National Grandparents Day. Adults will enjoy big church while kids venture into Advent Kids for BOTH services and they will learn as well as create something special. INSTRUCTIONS: For this activity, give building bricks or blocks to each child. Let them play, build, and interact with the bricks as you teach.

SAY THIS: Building blocks are amazing because they let us create so many different things. To create, we start with materials that already exist. Whether we’re cooking, gardening, or constructing an epic masterpiece, we use what's already made.
But what if you had no materials to build with?

It's impossible! Today, we’ll learn about how God created everything from nothing.

READ: Genesis 1:1–25 while everyone builds....Have everyone show their creations.

SAY THIS: After six days of creating, God rested on the seventh day. But this wasn’t because God was tired—God doesn’t get tired! Rest was part of the plan. God made this day holy, setting it apart as a time to pause, reflect, and enjoy creation. So, the next time you step outside, touch a tree, or see an animal, remember—God made it. God’s creation is a reflection of God’s care and imagination, and that includes you.

Take a moment to pause and get a closer look at the amazing world around us—trees, oceans, animals, and even you! What’s even more amazing is that it was all created by God, for God. From the beginning of time, God created everything with care and purpose, showing incredible love for all of creation—especially us. The best thing we can do is give that love back by taking care of the world God has given us. In this 4-week series, kids will learn that God made the world and everything in it, we are made in God’s image, God made a plan to save us, and God helps us make good choices!
