Four families from our church/area participated in our CHC weekend, David and Kim Ashley, Brien and April Phillips, Dustin and Gretchen Pierce, and Blake and Jessica Edmondson (Blake is pastor of Mt Pisgah BC of Gadsden). Former FBCB minister of music Tommy Pierce also came for the concerts. We are thankful for their support and especially for sending their child to participate.

Children’s Honor Choir 2021 is in the books. Our usual number of 150 was down to 91 due to the pandemic, but that didn’t stop the ministry and worship this group provides. The driving force behind this group is the AL State Board of Missions and the Cooperative Program along with the local church. Looking forward to what next year brings and the glimpse of heavenly worship God provides through this group. Today as they sang their signature song “I Am His Lamb” former members sang with the group. The words of the song are based on the 23rd Psalm. May the song help them carry the promises of God’s presence and protection throughout their lives. Former CHC members from FBCB Ally Smith and Adison Pierce participated while Austin Phillips participated from the balcony.

FBC Boaz was well represented by Braden Phillips and Braysee Pierce who introduced the choir’s song “Mene Mene Tekel Upharsan”. Taken from Daniel 5 the song tells about the handwriting on the wall that sealed King Balshazzar’s fate for being disobedient.
