A woman once approached the great evangelist D. L. Moody to air a grievance.

The woman said to him, “Mr. Moody, I don’t like the way you do evangelism.”

Moody asked, “Well, ma’am, let me ask you, how do you do it?”

She replied, “I don’t.”

Moody responded, “Well, I like my way of doing it better than your way of not doing it!”

There is a great lesson in this—anytime you are doing anything worthwhile in service to God, you will encounter criticism. However, it is often the case those who spend the most time criticizing are doing the least for God.

Someone may not like the way you speak, the way you sing, the way you teach, preach, pray, witness, etc.

However, you cannot let that deter or discourage you.

Another lesson is, what are you doing to evangelize and share the gospel with the lost? The biggest majority of churchgoers do not follow the Great Commission. And that is perhaps the biggest shame of it all!

Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
