What We Believe A More Excellent Way Ministry is a non-denominational Christian church. We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We baptize in the name of Jesus. The seed that became a More Excellent Way Church was planted when Pastors Mack and Ann McCants followed the calling of the Lord and started doing community outreach in June 2001. It was after months of fasting and prayer for both of them that the scripture from I Corinthians 12:31 became the divine inspiration for the name of the ministry, “….and yet I will show you a more excellent way”. After over 20 years of marriage and a career in business and sales Mack was called and ordained in the Baptist faith to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. A More Excellent Way is a nondenominational Christian Ministry with bible centered beliefs established to teach future generations about the love of God. Mack and Ann met one another while in college during what many would call a chance meeting. Soon after their relationship began to develop they realized that God had orchestrated their coming together. After marrying on September 6, 1980 they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they both grew spiritually and also began a family. Years later, after Mack served in different capacities in their Fort Worth church, including Sunday School Superintendent, God led the McCants back home to South Carolina. With a young, growing family they answered the call from God and began home bible studies. Their ministry soon out grew the home bible studies and was moved into rented space at the Holiday Inn Express in Blythewood for one year. The next move was to the Blythewood Recreation Center for seven years. Finally, in April 2009, on Resurrection Sunday, the church family was excited to move into their new ministry center at 245 Adams Road. At a special ordination service in August 2009, Ann was ordained as an Evangelist along with the ordination of their deacons. Giving up everything to follow Christ has at times been challenging. But Mack and Ann never tire of seeing the lives of others changed by the word of God.
