A PRAYER FOR BACK TO SCHOOL:

Dear God, Thank you for the gift of children. Watch over our children as they go back to school this year. Protect them from dangers seen and unseen. Keep them safe every day. Help them to remember that You are right there with them in the halls and classrooms. Help them soak up good knowledge and to dismiss any negative or worldly messages they may hear. Help them treat others with kindness and respect, and to guard their hearts with the armor of Your Word. Give them joy and peace as they put their trust in you.

Father, let the 2024-2025 school year be the best year ever. Let our children be successful in all that they put their hand and minds to. They will succeed academically, athletically, in fine arts, and in all areas that You have given them talent. Place God-fearing, Christian, people in their paths so that they can sharpen each other. Let them be a positive influence to each other. Give them strength to stand against peer pressures such as drugs, alcohol, sexual promiscuity, cultish beliefs, bad decisions to be socially accepted, and bullying. Help them make the right decision in any situation that may arise. Let them know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image, uniquely designed with purpose, and destined for greatness.

Father, watch over the crossing guards, bus drivers, car drivers, and administrative staff at our children’s schools and let them be vigilant and watchful of the surroundings to ensure our children are safe. Watch over our children as they walk to and from school, wait and get off at bus stops, travel in cars, and carpools. Father keep our children safe throughout the day and thank you for creating a safe environment for our children to learn in.

Father, watch over the teachers and aides. Guard them throughout the school from fatigue, burn-out, and resentment. Give them the patience they need to successfully and effectively teach our children. Take away any hidden agendas and release love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Give them creative ideas to teach so that our children will understand every lesson. Take away all unrealistic expectations and replace them with realistic goals and timelines that will build up our children’s confidence and steer them in the direction of success. Let the teachers see the gifts and greatness inside our children and assist us in cultivating those gifts.

Father, make every parent’s heart sensitive to the needs of their children and their friends. Help us to see when they need someone to talk to and let our children and their friends feel safe and comfortable talking to us about any situation they may be facing. Also give us the discernment to see what is going on so that we may help them through that period. Give us divine knowledge to help with homework and other areas they need guidance. If we do not have the answers, give us the right resources to tap into. Help us to provide a safe and structured environment so our children can complete their studies in peace and retreat and rest when their school day is finished.

Thank You Father for providing all finances needed to help ensure this is our children’s best school year ever. I thank you in advance for raises, promotions, jobs and better jobs, commissions, bonuses, finding money, inheritances, gifts, and favor. Thank you Father for organizations that are family oriented, allowing parents to attend their children’s functions so that we can give our support them and show that we are extremely proud of their accomplishments. Give us creative ways to encourage and motivate our children to do their best. Guard us from fatigue, burn-out, and even resentment. Give us the patience we need to successfully and effectively train our children up in the Word of God so that when they are older, they will not depart from the Good News. Take away any hidden agendas and release love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let us not put unrealistic expectations on them as well. Finally, let us lift up our children every day in prayer and love them as You love us, UNCONDITIONALLY.

In Jesus’ Name we pray.

AMEN
