Progressive Baptist Church

Progressive Baptist Church It’s God’s design for his kingdom to grow. In order for the church to grow we must be excited about helping others to know Jesus.

The church must meet the needs of the people. We must see ourselves as instruments in God’s plan.

The scripture for today lesson taught by Our Sunday School Superintendent Bro. Sammie Whitfield

Luke 9:23-26

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Since the $7.99 charge is coming, I do not give permission to Facebook to charge $7.99 a month to my account, also, all of my pictures are property of myself and not Facebook!
So now they are doing it, we just saw on Channel 13 News, that Facebook will be charging all users starting Monday. You can do an "opt-out" by posting the above. Hold your fingers over and copy. Bye Bye ads

Great Mission Lesson on tonight!

Matthew 6:34 S
Seizing the moment for God's Glory

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not let yourself wonder to the past or become distracted by the future. Focus on what you can accomplish in the present and make the most of it.
Why would a Christian worry about tomorrow when the word of God tells us in Matthew 6:34, Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
We need to seize the moment when God opens the doors of opportunity. We give glory to God when we seize the moment to work in missionary and in ministry to witness to people. We are to be thankful each day and praise each moment.
This does not mean we should stop caring for life essentials or become idle. We should always be in a praying position and always talking to the Lord. Let us not be part of the couldn't, shouldn't or wouldn't crowd. We must seize the moment to the glorification of God while we still have time. Because our time could be shorter than we think.

Proverbs 6:4
New Living Translation
4 Don’t put it off; do it now!
Don’t rest until you do.
