Youth Sports Leaders Appreciation Service on Sunday!
Attention all who have helped and supported with youth sports in Blythe - Calvary Chapel, after brainstorming with Blythe Little League President, the Rec Center, and several coaches, is putting together a special service this coming Sunday morning to include and focus on recognition and appreciation to all those who have served in our local youth sports programs.
Players, parents & families, coaches, etc. are invited to this special service next Sunday morning, June 7, at 9:45 AM at Calvary Chapel. See flyer for address.
We’ll be celebrating last weeks Major League Royals baseball victory at the annual TOC tournament in Needles. We’ll be looking forward to our Baseball All-Star efforts just around the corner. But Blythe’s sports is more than just baseball, so we’ll be acknowledging and appreciating ALL who are involved in any and all sports programs for our kids here in this town.
I (Pastor Mick) personally think a service of this type is probably long overdue, and so we’re excited and pleased to put this together for our community. For a small town, we’ve got a lot of dedicated people helping provide and building into the lives of our kids thru a variety of sports. It’s high time to celebrate that! 😁 I’ll also be sharing some faith-flavored principles and encouragement that I shared as chaplain in my pre-game moments with the Royals thru their amazing 16-0 season.
Players and coaches - really anyone - are all welcome to come in uniform if desired. Let’s rally together to let these people know they’re appreciated! Any questions, let us know the comments section. Hope to see you on Sunday!
