Don’t Take the Bait series, we’ll look at how Jesus helps us step out of the trap and into something better: freedom through forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending the hurt didn’t happen or saying that what happened was okay. It means choosing not to allow the hurt, the offense, or the past to continue holding our hearts captive. Sometimes, that can be hard. That’s why we’ll return to the question we’ve been asking throughout this series: WIGIAT: Where Is God In All of This?

Where is God when we’ve been hurt? Where is He when forgiveness feels difficult? And how can following Jesus help us release what we’ve been carrying? Join us this Sunday as we worship together, hear God’s Word, and discover the freedom Jesus offers when we choose forgiveness.

Don’t Take the Bait with Week Three, The Trap of Ignoring. Sometimes the trap isn’t what we do. It’s what we refuse to deal with.
Hurt we haven’t addressed. A relationship that feels broken. A difficult conversation we keep putting off. Something weighing on our hearts that we would rather ignore, hoping it will eventually go away.

But does ignoring what is broken really bring freedom?
As we continue this series, we’ll once again ask: WIGIAT: Where Is God In All of This?
Come discover what Jesus teaches us about facing what is broken, bringing it into the light, and allowing His grace to lead us toward healing, forgiveness, and restoration.

Don't Take the Bait, with Week Two: The Trap of Revenge. When we have been hurt, disappointed, or treated unfairly, how Jesus calls us to respond.

When we have been wounded, getting even can feel like the answer. We may think it will make things right, but revenge can keep us connected to the very hurt we are trying to leave behind. Romans 12:19 reminds us, “Do not take revenge... ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

This brings us to WIGIAT: Where Is God In All of This? God sees the hurt, knows the injustice, and can be trusted with the outcome. Jesus shows us that we do not have to take matters into our own hands or allow what someone else has done to determine who we become.

Have you ever noticed that some of life’s greatest struggles begin with a single moment of offense? A harsh word, a broken relationship, a disappointment, or an unanswered hurt can become the very thing that keeps us from experiencing the freedom God desires for us.
In this powerful four-week series, Don’t Take the Bait, we’ll uncover one of the enemy’s most effective strategies: using offense to trap us in bitterness, anger, division, and isolation. Together, we’ll discover how God’s Word teaches us to recognize the trap, refuse the bait, and walk in the freedom, forgiveness, and peace found in Jesus Christ.
Join us as we learn how to break free from the traps that hold us back and embrace the life God has called us to live.
