Sunday Sermon (5/31/26): A Birthday Celebration
Happy birthday to our parish! Pentecost is, for us and for all, a day to celebrate. It is also a day to prayerfully reflect on how faithful we have been to our Christian calling. Do we use our Faith in a self-centered way, or for others? Are we trying to escape the world, or trying to redeem the world? In short: are we moving, or are we standing still?

Sunday Sermon (5/24/26): Tarrying
In this Sunday between the ascent of Christ and the descent of the Holy Spirit, we wait in expectations. For all humanity and especially we followers of Christ, It is a time to remember where we have come from, and what we are being prepared for. And in this tarrying moment wherein the new covenant, new law, new Jerusalem are being established, we can also take a moment to consider the Jews. Who are they, in all this context? How do we regard them, and what does all this mean for them? And how does Christ call us to love them?

Sunday Sermon (5/17/26): Myopia
The story of Christ’s healing of the man born blind is about so much more than a miraculous healing. It is about spiritual blindness, about the struggle between faith and unbelief, about the Signs given to us and the danger of missing them. Today we take a careful look, with a long view, of this event and all that it calls us to do.

Sunday Sermon (5/10/26): Water of Life
When Jesus meets the Samaritan woman, the setting—a water well—is purposeful and significant. While St. John does not record the event of Christ’s baptism, he does use other moments from Christ’s life to illustrate the importance of the baptismal waters. Here, we are invited out of the desert of our former religion, washed clean, our thirst for the Truth quenched, “for such the Father seeks to worship Him.”

Sunday Sermon (5/3/26): Do You Want To Be Healed?
This is the question Jesus asks the Paralytic. At face value it may seem absurd—who doesn't want to be healed? But there are many layers so this question, some of which we may find unpleasant to confront. But if we confront them and accept our weakness, only then can we accept the true, complete healing offered by our Lord.

Sunday Sermon (4/26/26): A Small Act of Courage
Two Sundays after Pascha takes us back to that day, and puts us in the shoes of the quiet, steadfast disciples: the Myrrhbearing women, Joseph of Arimathea, and Nicodemus. Their courage and faithfulness set the stage for the resurrection to be proclaimed. We too can learn a lesson in what a big difference a small act of courage can make.

Sunday Sermon (4/19/26): The Eighth Day
When the Lord rose from the dead on “the first day of the week”, it left an indelible mark of sanctification on every Sunday following until the end of time. It was a new chapter after the six days of creation and the seventh day of rest: the eighth day of re-creation. For the Christian Church, the glory of Sunday is the ever-present call to gather and to celebrate, letting nothing take precedence.
