UPDATE::: POSTPONED

🔈🔈Hi everyone! We wanted to share an important update about our event. 🔈🔈

Due to the weather predictions and the possibility of thunderstorms and rain, we will need to postpone the “Kids’ Day - Fun in the Son” event.

We're so sorry — the weather just hasn't been cooperating with us. And our priority is keeping all of our kids safe and warm!
We are planning to reschedule for the 23rd of this month when we have our Fellowship Day at the park.
We will send out more information as plans are finalized!

💦KIDS’ DAY - “FUN in THE SON” ☀️✝️
Enjoy refreshments and the splash pad at Bluefield City Park.
All of our community kids who generally join us for VBS each summer are invited to come out.

🍔We will eat first at Pavilion 2 down by the caboose.
💦All participants will need a swimsuit or shorts/top and a towel.
📢Adult/Teacher supervision is welcomed!

Sympathy is extended to the Alexander/Hunt Family in the passing of Delbert Alexander. Our church family mourns the loss of our trustee, our sound man and DJ, and our dependable go-to person who faithfully cared for the upkeep of our church. His quiet yet joking presence, along with his loyal service to Scott Street Baptist Church will be deeply missed.
Today, we celebrate the life of Delbert and we thank God for the impact he made through his service.
We pray that God wraps his family in love and comforts them during this difficult time.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” - Revelation 21:4

📣Update: Postponed to FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th due to weather. We are so sorry to disappoint the children, but we want everyone to be safe and warm. We have rescheduled for the earliest date available - August 7th and will post again closer to the date. Stay tuned!
