Fun Fact: I was recently taking a psychology class for CEU's, and they were sharing that social media, is feeding addictive behaviors and one of those behaviors I had not considered. The professor shared that when our posts are shared, commented on, or liked, there's a release of dopamine in our brain. And this scientific fact, coupled with social media outlets tend to reinforce attention seeking posts that become addictive, so obviously we should utilize social media outlets with caution. Because addiction comes in many forms. Though social media, the dopamine addiction may not destroy lives as badly as drugs or alcohol obviously, but I do believe it is an epidemic that has and is destroying lives.
