In the past two weeks, the Volunteers honored twelve veterans who were interred at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery. Through a heartfelt ceremony, the volunteers paid their respects and ensured that each veteran's service and sacrifice were remembered with dignity and gratitude.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families of these honored veterans. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your loved ones. May you find comfort in knowing that their commitment to our nation will never be forgotten.
As we reflect on the importance of honoring those who have served, we are reminded of the words of President John F. Kennedy: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” Today, and every day, we strive to uphold this enduring respect for our military veterans.
