Please join us for Bible study, worship The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that J

esus is coming again soon. Adventists believe a Trinity of three personsโ€”the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spiritโ€”make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everythingโ€”the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around usโ€”is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

From the Pit to the Palace

Life does not always make sense when we are in the middle of a trial. Joseph certainly could have wondered why God allowed his brothers to betray him and sell him into slavery. He was taken far from home, falsely accused, and even imprisoned. Yet God was quietly working behind the scenes, turning Joseph's suffering into a blessing for countless people.

Years later, Joseph was elevated to a position of great authority in Egypt and placed in charge of storing grain during years of abundance. When famine struck, those reserves saved not only Egypt, but also Joseph's own family. What appeared to be a terrible tragedy was actually part of God's greater plan.

In the Bible it says,

"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." โ€” Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)

Like Joseph, we may not understand why certain hardships come our way. A closed door, a disappointment, or an unexpected trial can feel like a pit we may never escape. But God sees the whole picture when we can only see a small part. He can take what others intend for harm and use it to accomplish something far greater than we could imagine.

๐Ÿ“– Lesson 10: Repentance and Forgiveness
Have you ever wondered if God can truly forgive every sin? This week's lesson reminds us that no matter how far we wander, God's grace is greater than our failures. Through sincere repentance and confession, we receive forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration through Jesus Christ.

๐Ÿ”น God restores those who come to Him with sincere hearts.
๐Ÿ“– Memory Text: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." โ€” 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
