📱 Scroll the headlines for five minutes and you'll probably find yourself asking:

"What in the world is going on?"

The good news? God isn't surprised by any of it.

Tomorrow we'll be looking at what the Bible says about the Tribulation, future events, and the hope we have in Christ—even when the world seems chaotic.

Know someone who's discouraged, searching for answers, or wondering what comes next? Invite them to join you.

In a world full of uncertainty, God's Word remains certain. 📖

SATURDAY—IN THE PSALMS

Chronological Bible Reading: 1 Kings 7-8; Psalm 11

Saturday, June 6

Psa. 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Dear Lord:
Let me today put “trust” and “do” together – and keep them in the order in which the Holy Spirit puts them in Psalm 37. I want to have faith, and you want me to have faith that walks in your Spirit. Help my trust free-up my doing, because if I trust you for good then I will also be doing good.
I cannot sit still because of trust. I have to expect you want to work by me and through me to others – in all my circumstances and all my days. There is something special you want to accomplish right now (I believe that – hence trust), and you want to do it through me (hence do).
It is not my job to worry and do evil, but to trust and do good. So what is there that I am not trusting you about right now? Is there a relationship I want to grab and hold onto? Is there a job I need? Is there something to be performed? Give me a radical transformation, to follow radical discipleship, so I neither trust without doing nor do without trusting!
Enemies want to move me out of my resting place in faith – but by trusting and doing I will dwell in that land. I will not return to Egypt (the world), and I will not be conquered by Amalek (the flesh). I will remain in Emmanuel’s land – within the borders of your word and the providence of your will. I cannot be so easily gotten rid of as my enemies suppose. They cannot push me out or stamp me out, because where you have given me a name and a place, I will stand, Eph. 6:11,13-14!
What about my needs? That is why you added the word “verily.” As sure as your word is true, I will be satisfied. If it is mine to trust and do, it is yours to do as I trust. So let me not fear, because in Jesus’ name I ask it. Amen.

🍩 It's National Donut Day! 🍩

Here's your friendly reminder:

❌ Do-nut let your Bible collect dust.
❌ Do-nut skip time with the Lord.
❌ Do-nut miss the sweetest part of your day.

✅ Grab a donut.
✅ Pour some coffee.
✅ Open God's Word.

📖☕🍩

Because while donuts satisfy for a moment, God's truth sustains for a lifetime.

FRIDAY— CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: 1 Kings 5-6; 2 Chronicles 2-3

Friday, June 5

Exod. 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Gracious God and Savior:
Enable us, not just to be motivated with your word, but to move on it.
We live and work in an time when everyone is moving. No one ever rests (especially in summer). We are always going, because as Paul says we feel,
Heb. 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
It seems like just when we feel at home, things change all over again. But you give us an antidote for the illness of restlessness. No matter where we go or when we have to leave, you accompany us through your word. Your presence by your Spirit (which includes your favor, your fellowship, and your care) is with us on every “forced march.”
Exodus 33:14 means more than it says, because your presence includes everything! If we have you, then we have all we need. So go with us Lord, as we finish this week for you – and then send us into the summer, and VBS.
We want to come to your place of rest this Sunday. We want the rest of relationships around an open Bible. We need to have the rest of a solid core of spiritual discipline, worship, and praise. Then we can rest even though we are on the move – or even in the midst of battle!
Our rest comes from faith in your word and reliance on your Spirit. Reliance produces rest when it is “trust and obey.” Not willpower in the flesh, but word-power. To be with you is rest. To be walking in the Spirit is rest. Yea,
Isa. 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Why? Because we rest in you, Lord Jesus! Amen.

We've almost finished the first week of summer, so tell us:

How's your mission field going?

🏊 The neighborhood pool?
⚾ The ball field?
🏕️ The campground?
📚 Summer school?
🍦 The ice cream line?
🏡 Your own front porch?

Wherever you find yourself this summer, remember: God didn't put you there by accident.

Who knows? The person next to you in a lawn chair might need the encouragement, kindness, or Gospel witness that only you can provide.

So... where has God stationed you this summer? 👇

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Proverbs 21-24

Thursday, June 4

Mark 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

THE cross upon which Jesus died,
Is a shelter in which we can hide;
And its grace so free is sufficient for me,
And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea

Tho’ millions have found Him a friend,
And have turned from the sins they have sinned,
The Savior still waits to open the gates
And welcomes a sinner before it’s too late.

The hand of my Savior is strong,
And the love of my Savior is long;
Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain,
The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

There’s room at the cross for you,
There’s room at the cross for you,
Tho’ millions have come, there’s still room for one
Yes, there’s room at the cross for you.

WEDNESDAY—REVIVAL PRAYING

Chronological Bible Reading: Proverbs 17-20

Wednesday, June 3

Isa. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee…

Heavenly Father and Holy Lord:
What will you do for your word today? I will I be called to serve or to suffer? Let me now take stock of my strength. In my flesh it is less than I know, and far less than I need. So I fall back on your Spirit answering to your word. I look to you through the your scriptures, because they guarantee all I can possibly require.
* You have all strength
* You can communicate that strength to me by the Spirit and the word
* Your promise is that you will do so (do it today!)
Give me food for my soul and health to my heart, Job 23:12. Give me a foothold for my steps. You are the Strong One, Job 9:19. There is no predicting in advance how you will supply me today, but when my strength comes on, then my weakness is no more a handicap. That is the blessing of revival in the Bible!
Give me such a dose of spiritual power that I will wonder at myself. In the midst of danger make me calm. In the midst of bereavement give me peace. Under slander make me self-controlled. In trial give me patience. At work make me faithful. When questioned give me a bold witness. In all things give me confidence in Christ Jesus, Phil. 3:3. Above all, let me not be distrustful of you and what you always provide me in your strength.
You give unexpected strength when unusual circumstances hit. So let me rise out of my feeble self, and play the man or woman of God, 1 Cor. 16:13. Give me wisdom for my foolishness, and words with spiritual power in place of my silence. My own weaknesses make me shrink, but your words make me sure, 2 Pet. 1:19. Strengthen my bravery Lord, “according to your word, Isa. 8:20,” Amen.

TUESDAY—FOCUS ON CHRIST’S PRAYER LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Proverbs 13-16

Tuesday, June 2

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

O Lord Jesus:
You poured-out your soul in intercession before you poured your soul out in death, and in so doing you gave me a pattern of prayer for power.
Lord, sanctify me! That means, accumulating power for service. You want me with a positive, proactive consecration to fulfill the purpose for my soul in your eternity. So let me abandon my will to yours. Let me be your temple, fit for indwelling, and an instrument suited to praise. Consecrate me to a holy sacrifice.
Sanctified things are reserved for divine use. Make me so – fully dedicated to you and presented at your altar.
* I do not belong to the world, otherwise I would be ambitious
* I do not belong to Satan, otherwise I would be covetous
* I am not my own, otherwise I would be able to be selfish
I am bought with a price, and belong to you who paid it. So Jesus, send your spirit to answer to your word as I trust you in this life! I was a sheep going astray. Now belong to your pasture. If anyone asks my occupation, I can say with Jonah,
Jonah 1:9 I fear the LORD, the God of heaven,
I seek no freedom to sin. I seek no liberty for myself. Rather I cry,
Psa. 118:27 God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar
I am that sacrifice! I am now at your disposal. I refuse to hire myself out to inferior interests, mercenary aims, or selfish ambitions. I have a covenant with God, a true word from the Lord. Let me know, and let the world know also, that I am bound to the horns of the altar by everything it says – and that I belong to Jesus by faith in him. For so I ask it in Jesus’ own name. Amen.
