It was a beautiful day at the cemetery. Several families were out and about placing fresh flowers and dropping by donations. Someone will be out again tomorrow if you would like to stop by and donate.

The cemetery is funded solely by donations. The county/city does not help in maintaining.

We also encourage you to come to our Annual Meeting/Decoration day tomorrow May 4, 3pm under the Tabernacle!

Reminder: Blue Ridge Cemetery will host our annual meeting on Sunday, May 5th at 3:00 PM at the cemetery tabernacle. In the event of inclement weather, we will move to First Baptist Church.

The cemetery is an independent entity and all maintenance, repairs, updates are paid for through donated funds, materials, labor, time. We are still working to repair damage from a tornado in the recent past. Gates at both entrances were destroyed, many trees were lost, the tabernacle sustained much damage, markers were displaced. Thanks to all who donated goods, services and hours of hard work in making repairs and cleaning the grounds.

We have plans to rebuild entrances, with an arch denoting Blue Ridge Cemetery. This is an expensive project and your financial donation can be designated specifically toward its completion. It is also tax deductible.

Donations are dwindling in recent years and costs continue to rise. Ongoing expenses include mowing, insurance, etc…

Please consider attending the annual meeting, offering suggestions for improvements, fundraisers, increasing community participation & raising awareness.

There will be individuals available to accept your donation at the cemetery from 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday, May 4th.

If you are unable to stop by in person, please mail your donation to:

Blue Ridge Cemetery
P.O. Box 122
Blue Ridge, TX 75424

Thank you!

We had approximately 50-60 other people that we did not get names from. Please know that your act of kindness in helping did not go unnoticed! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Don't forget that the Blue Ridge Cemetery will hold it's annual meeting on Sunday, May 7 at 3 pm at the tabernacle. Please join us.

During a spring tornado the cemetery suffered a large amount of damage. Many trees lost, headstones overturned, lots of damage to tabernacle, gates at entry destroyed. Many individuals and businesses stepped up to help, but the damage required the expenditure of thousands of dollars.

Have you given thought to the cost of maintaining the beautiful resting place of your friends and family? Road maintenance, mowing & w**d eating, replacing dead or dying trees, tabernacle maintenance... The expenses are unending. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to Blue Ridge Cemetery, Inc.

Someone will be on site Saturday and Sunday to accept your donation. If you can't make it to the meeting, or are unable to stop by, a donation can be mailed to P.O. Box 122, Blue Ridge, TX 75424.

Blue Ridge friends & neighbors...it's almost time for our annual Blue Ridge Cemetery Association meeting. During this yearly meeting we provide copies of our annual finances, elect officers, and make important decisions regarding maintenance & upkeep, etc. YOUR support of our beautiful cemetery is imperative. Keeping the property mowed, cleaned, etc. is expensive. Please stop by the cemetery next weekend, May 6-7. Someone will be available both days to accept your donation. In addition you're likely to bump into friends and family visiting grave sites of loved ones, placing flowers in remembrance of those who have gone before, etc. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. The meeting begins at 3 pm at the tabernacle on Sunday, May 7. Join us. We need your support, want your input and would love to visit and reminisce about the rich history of our little corner of Texas. If you can't make the meeting, please consider mailing a donation to:
