Sunday School Returns September 20 — Register Your Children Today

Dear St. John’s Families,

With joy we announce that Sunday Church School at St. John's returns on Sunday, September 20. After a season of prayerful planning, we are ready to welcome our children back for a new year of learning, fellowship, and growth in the Orthodox faith.

This year brings a renewed focus on our children's religious education. We are grateful for all who have nurtured this ministry over the years, and we are building on that foundation with fresh energy and care. We are teaching from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese's newest Sunday School curriculum, developed by the Department of Religious Education so that every child receives sound, age-appropriate formation in the faith of our Church. We are putting real thought into every part of the program, from how classes are organized to what happens in each room, so that the time your children spend with us is engaging, meaningful, and worth their Sunday morning.

We also want every family to know that this is a Sunday School for children of all abilities. In conjunction with the goals of our On Behalf of All ministry, we are weaving those aspects into every part of our Sunday Church School program to ensure accessibility for every child. If your child has a disability or specific need, we want them here, and we will work with you to make sure they can fully take part. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Please register your children by Sunday, September 13 so we can place each child in the right class and prepare for opening day.
