This coming Wednesday, Sept. 17, Good News Bearers students will be bussed to St. Paul church immediately following the 2:30 pm school dismissal. Here's a friendly Friday reminder to help your little Good News Bearers complete some weekly Bible readings. Any kids' Bible or Bible storybook will do! Be sure to jot your child's readings on a piece of paper, sign it and send it along in order for him/her to earn points. Cool prizes are awarded each week and at the end of the season! Also, extra points are given for any memorized Bible verse. Please help keep our helper, Grandma Shar, busy this week checking off those readings!

Parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors are invited to Good News Bearers' final session of 2024. Our program is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Blue Hill's St. Paul Lutheran Church. Light refreshments will be served. The Bearers will present drama, music, Scripture verses and crafts that they've worked on as they've studied the life of Moses of the Bible.

Good News Bearers invites all area parents to register their K-6th graders for our coming fall session of Bible adventures! We meet on Wednesdays, Sept. 11 thru Oct. 9, from 3:45-5:45 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran in Blue Hill. Holiday Express Bus will provide transportation from Blue Hill Community School to the church. Good News Bearers invite the public to their season-ending program beginning at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 11 in the basement of Blue Hill's St. Paul Lutheran Church. Students in grades K-5 will present drama, music, and Scripture verses they've learned over the past five weeks. Light refreshments will be served. Students should take the bus as usual from Blue Hill Community School to the church, and parent pickup will be from 5:45-6:00 p.m.

We've been having such a fun time learning about how God helps us escape the ordinary! In week one, we heard about Jonah's escape from inside the whale. Last week, we learned how God rescued Daniel from the lion's den. And today, we learned about the greatest escape in the history of the world--Jesus breaking out of the tomb!

Your child received a nail today to put in a special place so that it will remind them that Jesus allowed himself to be nailed to the cross so that we could escape the consequences of our sin. Ask your child about it and look for the nail in their backpack.
