Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers

Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers The TNCBA is a Christian bass club whose focus is Christ and discipling others. We fish the East TN. We conduct 10 tornaments a year plus a classic.

The Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1996. We are a different type of Bass Club altogether. Our objective is to make better fisherman by sharing information and how-to instructions to all members. Our reward is sharing techniqes of Bass fishing with beginners and skilled fisherman alike. Membership requirements are similar to other bass clubs, you mus

t be at least 16 years of age. We do not require members to belong to any particular church or denomination. We do share our faith and beliefs at every meeting and conduct a short devotional along with prayer request. We strive to be better fishermen and we also strive to become better people. Our members include individuals from vaired walks of life including factory workers, small business owners, teachers, preachers, accountants, retirees, and ect. All entry fees received, with the exception of club expenses, are donated to charity or used to help those less fortunate in time of need. Most monies are used around Christmas time primarily in conjuntion with childern's causes. The Lord has blessed us with over $30,000 locally, in the past 15 years. The Club won the 1998 Southern Division Community Service Award present by the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. We have had the honor of being a large and influnencial Club setting a model that has sponned other Christian clubs. If you are interested in the Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers come to one of our meetings. We meet every second Monday night of the month at the Sullivan County Court House in Blountville at 7:00PM. We open and close with prayer, have devotions, and a bassin' how to session at every meeting. The meeting are a lot of fun with good Christian fellowship and we all learn more about bass fishing. Guest are always welcome and you don't have to be a member, or come with one, to attend our meetings.

“Crockett and Oiler Pull Away on Patrick Henry!”

As the TNCBA transitioned to a three fish limit for the summer months, the TN Christian Bass anglers showed out on Patrick Henry Lake this weekend. The day played out in true junk fishing fashion with several different baits and types of cover providing fish to the anglers. David Crockett and David Oiler capitalized on an early shad spawn and caught the big bass of the day, a 5.12 lbs. largemouth, on a pop’r. That kicker anchored their 10.12 lbs. limit that claimed first place on the day. Second place on Patrick Henry went to Eric Pope and Devon Pope with 9.61 lbs. Rounding out the top three was the team of Andy Hodges and Keith Lester with limit weighing 9.48 lbs.

Thank you to our TNCBA partner, John Legg Heating and Air, for their sponsorship of today’s event and thank you to everyone who joined us for excellent fishing and great fellowship! The TNCBA heads into the night on Boone Lake for the eighth stop of the tournament season…God Bless and Tight Lines!

Quick practice session this morning on Patrick Henry for Saturday. Water temp still in the low to mid 70s and with good stain. Each keeper came on a different bait…chatterbait, jerkbait, and pitching a d-bomb. Seem to be some big crawfish getting munched on…😳

“Pope Polishes Off Win on Watauga!”

The month of May often lends itself to junk fishing and Watauga setup no different for the TN Christian Bass Anglers. Reports of topwater, spinnerbaits, fry guarders, glide baits, crankbaits, and scoping could all be heard rumbling around weigh-in.

When the scales closed Eric Pope had leaned on a spinnerbait to put together a five bass limit weighing 14.99 lbs., anchored by a 4.34 lbs. kicker, and claim first place on the day. Second place was claimed by Ryan and Richard Sheppard who utilized a late day adjustment to a jig to make important upgrades and put together a five bass limit weighing 13.79 lbs. Rounding out the top three was the team of Josh Olinger and Ryan Pope who put together an early limit on a buzzbait and then made a major upgrade on a glide bait. Their five bass limit weighed 13.76 lbs. and their kicker claimed big fish on the day with a 4.43 lbs. largemouth.

Thank you to everyone that joined us on the water and a huge thank you to Citizens Bank in Elizabethton for their partnership for this event. God Bless and Tight Lines!
