When you need a little lift ....

Zephaniah 3:17
New International Version
17 The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Love this ....What a comfort in the times we are living in ...

"2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Living Bible
17 These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won’t last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessing upon us forever and ever! 18 So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever."

Heard a great thought ... You always hear people say I wish I had been there when Jesus was on earth ... But think about this ... You may have only heard him once after you waited for days for him to get there ...He couldn't be at more than one place at a time! He was born man! (Not saying it wouldn't have been awesome to hear Him in person by any means during His ministry on earth!!) But today, because of His resurrection, we have personal access to Him always as His children!!! He's always there... omnipresent!! How truly blessed we are because we can always talk to Him!! Praise Him for His sacrifice for our sins and His victory over death so we may have eternal life! THAT is love ... pure love!! Isn't God awesome!!

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24

The woman was desperate. Desperate enough to go out in the crowd. The same crowd that looked upon her with distaste and avoidance. She was considered unclean and had been living ostracized from family and friends and even places of worship for over 12 years. She had a bleeding disorder that no doctors could cure. But she had heard about Jesus ... And she believed with all her heart that He could heal her. If only she could just touch the hem of his garment. Just the hem...have you ever wondered why she chose the hem? I think it was pure humility. Her face and body lowered, scared and her heart beating wildly with hope and belief that she could be cured by Jesus, reaching out, fingers shaking and barely brushing the fabric. Instantly, she was made whole! Jesus stopped. He knew. He asked who had touched Him. (Luke 8:45) After years of rejection, the woman was reluctant to bring attention to herself but she spoke up though she was shaking with fear and she told Him her story, her whole story. And He listened. With all His attention to every word she said. How long had it been since someone had listened to her? A miracle had healed her body, His listening had restored her dignity but what He did next she never forgot! He affirmed her by calling her "Daughter"!! "Daughter be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace." Luke 8:48 Sometimes that is all it takes to give encouragement. Ask to hear their story and listen without interruption. Give the rariest of gifts, your full attention.

There is joy in the Lord. Let's share it!

Pay attention to what people are carrying when they meet Jesus.

Scripture is full of hands, and what's in them tells you a lot. People rarely come to Jesus empty-handed; they come holding the weight of their lives. And what He does with what they're carrying is the gospel in miniature.

The woman at the well carries a water jar; and leaves it behind (John 4:28). The sinful woman carries an alabaster jar of perfume; and breaks it at His feet (Luke 7:37). The boy carries five loaves and two fish, and gives it away (John 6:9). The friends carry a paralyzed man on a mat and tear through a roof to set him down (Mark 2:4) Mary carries spices to a tomb and finds she won't need them (Mark 16:1).

Jesus never refuses what people bring Him, but He rarely lets them leave with the same thing they came with. Burdens become testimonies. Small offerings become miracles. Grief becomes good
news.

What are vou carrying today? Don't hide it. Bring it. He's never turned anyone away for showing up with their hands full.

FORGIVEN ... what a wonderful word!!! Isaiah 1:18 (NIV) says

Who wouldn't want to be a peacemaker? Life is hard enough in today's world. Its called forgiveness, compromise, unity, loving others more than yourself, encouragement, building up not tearing down ... to name a few! I'm sure you can add other actions that lead to peace! Talk about a blessing!! Peace!! Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called the children of God! Jesus spoke these words! He knows what He is talking about! Are we listening?? 😳
